Plus, you have 3 stacking characters, and remember they'll all be supporting each other and activating Shattering the Limit. I think this team can probably beat all content to 2023 Tanabata with no items, and all content up to 9th anniversary with them. I'll have to test it though.
This starter LR Goku does exactly what he’s meant to do, carry the new player until he can’t anymore because that’s what he is, A starter pack character. They gave him just enough to justify what he is and IMO, I’m more than satisfied at his performance.
That doesn’t mean he should be mid, I want to use him with his insane support and his animations and osts r so cool and it sucks I can’t use him in difficult content. Stop being satisfied with mid

He's basically F2P LR Vegeta & Trunks, which is great because that type of character makes great leaders for teams. He's going to make the new player transition so much easier since he's your slot 1. Also, when Saiyan Saga characters that were released in 2022 start EZAing next year, primarily the LRs. It gives new players a clear pull progression path. Which eases the gacha game burden of choice paralysis, players will just pull for the team they have.

Veterans complaining about this guy and all the new Z Fighter units gotta understand that they weren’t made with veterans in mind, they were made with brand new ftp players in mind. For a new player this team is a god send and a very nice placeholder team until they get better summonable units.

He's awesome for what he is, a character you can get in one day of starting your account. He's a character you just have to hold to a different standard, he's literally a fresh-account character.
there's no point in comparing him to super EZA prime battle lr goku. Prime battle goku for 1 is Super EZA'd, for 2 is a prime battle LR compared to a f2p lr that you get for starting the game, and for 3, base goku shouldn't be on the same tier of character because he's meant as a starter character to help new players in the games "early" which he does well enough.
Just a quick tip for his active skill. If he is in slot 1 when he activates it, he will get the slot 1 buffs. Tested it myself with a turn reset, and he dealt an additional 2 million damage than when in slot 2 for the same turn.

To everyone complaining about him being meant for older content, he was a real competitive unit on his initial release. You would actually want to use him in the god event and super battle road in 2021, so I don’t see why something similar couldn’t be done for his eza.
I just used the team against Cell Max, and they do exactly what they are supposed to do. The team actually surprised me in how well they did. Now comes some harder events, Krillin is INSANELY good on the team.
I have to say as a new player this starter team is fantastic i’m farming the free to play LR’s and one of the characters I had a hard time farming is LR F2P gohan he requires saiyan saga units for increased drop rate. I started playing a couple days ago restarted my account a couple of times because I messed up I re-rolled for a single multi to get a good character to start with and I got 2 LRs Agl ultimate Gohan & Int Goku black SS Rosé. I decided to not summon till anniversary because I keep hearing how it’s going to be big so I’m just rolling with free to play and those 2 LRs. Watching your videos help me learn quite a bit about the game while also messing up on my previous attempts 😂 which resulted in many wasted stones which is why I restarted a few times with all my accumulated knowledge I was able to build up team Bardock & the new F2P SS Bardock and rainbow them all. That fighting legend Goku was pretty tough. I was able to prepare for world tournament within the first day of it after losing a 10 win streak I saw you posted a video on world tournament and I realized I should be utilizing items better one item I didn’t know of was the ghost and thanks to the knowledge watching your video I was able to complete all missions and get around 20th place in my local. Basically what I’m saying your videos help a lot for new players and I would love to see you utilize free to play characters to see how far you can get in the content. I already thought of the title for the playlist road for new players or road to F2P. Thank you truth for helping me with your videos.
This guy and his team does what they're supposed to do. They're a F2P team meant to let new players clear the basic content of the game, such as Dokkan stages and early game challenge stages.
the fact every unit on the team also has a 7-9m super attack stat at link level 1 for a free to play team given right off the bat with little to no effort, yeah i'll say thats a very good thing for new players, or even just lazy players who havent grinded out any ftp units and have a suitable team
What they need to know/hopefully will do is give this Goku one of them super juiced special equips + give some good free equips for the rest of the gang too, it completely aligns with their intent too

Him and his team are designed to be a brand new players first full team, for that purpose they are absolutely fine, all the legendary events, the original red zones, rhe original God event, a new player will be able to complete all of those no problem after unlocking this team
I feel like he is solid honestly, atleast in long fights. Like this guy could do well in fights like Gogeta Blue and Red Zone Movie bosses, both fights that are still relevant.

For example if you run int Yamcha as the lead instead and just remove the str one from the team, the team itself performs better overall. Also run the Str Piccolo and Gohan as a friend because they have a different name then the f2p one so they link very well together.
EZAs for LR KK Goku and LR GA Vegeta could be on horizon, I can only imagine what an EZA for LR KK Goku would look like in current Meta, No chance they make him as Offensively strong as he was on release, If so hed be lookin like EZA LR Teq Broly lol, Man was Busted Offensively on release…
Comparing a character that you can get within the first handful of hours of gameplay to a character that you need to grind for hours for with an entirely f2p team is kinda crazy. Besides, this guy and his team are MADE to be good for early-mid game and are perfect for grinding Prime Battle LRs. They aren’t able to solo end game content as they are made to give you time to save up for a team that you really want. Also he gets 60% crit FOR FREE, like he can do that turn one.
Version Z Goku - F2P LR ( first EZA ) Prime Battle SSJ Goku - F2P LR ( Second EZA ) Truth: Yes let's compare those two units that are totally NOT designed to be equally as good as each other.
Don't forget one you can obtain in 10-20 minutes after opening the game And the 2nd you need to grind multiple specific characters with ass drop rates, then grind MORE characters to get them EZA'd, then magically have the orbs nessecary to rainbow them, THEN farm Goku all the way to an LR AND THEN THE BALLBUSTINGLY HARD STAGE FOR HIS SUPER EZA Same character really

This unit is NOT meant to be used for end-game play. It's a beginner-friendly, easy-to-get/farm unit. It's a unit/team to help new players farm the game, that's it.
Getting forced to take a hit is the worst. I love SSJ4 Goku, but the number of times his dodge has failed me is so frustrating! I’ve given him 11 or 12 dodge points, hoping he’d dodge after taking a hit. But it's always the crucial dodges that fail, and when it's a super attack? He suddenly turns blind.
imagine if When Teq Ginyu force and int team Bardock super ezas they either super eza the old units of Their respective teams, OR release a new batch that's basically a revamp of the old units
To everyone saying “he’s meant for new players to use on older events” completely forget that when he dropped pre-EZA, he was a decent unit that you could run in the current meta of the time… Like I get what Dokkan was going for, but come on he coulda been a little better. At least let him guard in slot 1 and 3 (similar to F2P LR 1st form Frieza) so you could use him as a support floater
i would make 2 changes to this goku 1. either guard in slot 1 or after 3rd turn damage reduction 30% in slot 2 and 3 and make his leader skill a 150% instead of 130% so people have a decent leader worth using in the beginning of the game. hes still a very good unit for what we would use him for. also why does this october celebration have more content then the wwdc this is bizarre
I think we just need a decent leader, like all types 50% or 100 if they want too, there are some decent ftp units now, realistically. All a ftp team needs to do is be able to clear story mode, as well as Events, that way new players can get decent units.
He's good! Trying to bring him into hard fights or comparing him to summonable ezas or sezas is a bit unfair. Hes incredibly easy to get and is pretty much given to you for free. I think he has pretty good defensive and offensive capabilities with that in mind. Although I do think he could be better
there's a huge diffrence between this goku and prime battle goku and bio broly, especially for a brand new player, you ain't going for broly cause uncontrollable power is not a real f2p friendly team, lr prime battle goku takes a while and you need some good f2p units to complete, vegeta family units in particular if you want to make it faster, this goku is basically a freebie for anyone along with a solid team that let's you take on all the older content and since they are all faramble by quest and story mode also help farming said prime battle units, would it be nice for him to be a bit better, sure, but i'm not expecting a unit you get at literal start of an account for free to crush a fight that even most recent and top tier units can struggle against
He is good starter unit for newbie, he is not build for end-game content. They wouldn't made a starter unit to be able to beat end-game content, i'm pretty sure they would make a DFE version of him in the future.

Aight so if you can get to gofrieza turn 9 then use his active then yes he can tank under 50% normals. 2 mil defense + guard in slot 2 after his active is just barely enough for double digits. But thats after a couple requirements 😂 all in all a great character

Like I get what Dokkan was going for, but come on he coulda been a little better. At least let him guard in slot 1 and 3 (similar to F2P LR 1st form Frieza) so you could use him as a support floater

i would make 2 changes to this goku 1. either guard in slot 1 or after 3rd turn damage reduction 30% in slot 2 and 3 and make his leader skill a 150% instead of 130% so people have a decent leader worth using in the beginning of the game. hes still a very good unit for what we would use him for. also why does this october celebration have more content then the wwdc this is bizarre
They were making a 5 star neal with this guy and his partners, they juice eachother up with support all around
I think we just need a decent leader, like all types 50% or 100 if they want too, there are some decent ftp units now, realistically. All a ftp team needs to do is be able to clear story mode, as well as Events, that way new players can get decent units.
I feel like if any change was made it would be 30% dmg reduction is permanent and then 29% extra for 3 turns

He's good! Trying to bring him into hard fights or comparing him to summonable ezas or sezas is a bit unfair. Hes incredibly easy to get and is pretty much given to you for free. I think he has pretty good defensive and offensive capabilities with that in mind. Although I do think he could be better

I think a more useful way of judging this character is to look at how him and his new team do vs F2P Ginyu and F2P Bardock teams vs the same fights
I mean, the title being a question, and truth being the best most knowledgeable player in Dokkan, I can infer that this Goku is not great.

there's a huge diffrence between this goku and prime battle goku and bio broly, especially for a brand new player, you ain't going for broly cause uncontrollable power is not a real f2p friendly team, lr prime battle goku takes a while and you need some good f2p units to complete, vegeta family units in particular if you want to make it faster, this goku is basically a freebie for anyone along with a solid team that let's you take on all the older content and since they are all faramble by quest and story mode also help farming said prime battle units, would it be nice for him to be a bit better, sure, but i'm not expecting a unit you get at literal start of an account for free to crush a fight that even most recent and top tier units can struggle against

He is good starter unit for newbie, he is not build for end-game content. They wouldn't made a starter unit to be able to beat end-game content, i'm pretty sure they would make a DFE version of him in the future.

hes really good to me along with the f2p saiyan saga units
with him and the new Super Za Goku, I think he's fineyou can beat hard content with him, a new player with items, and for what he is that's okay
If they gave him massivley raise for 1 turn on 18 ki and greatly stacking defense on 12 ki he would be viable
You’re asking the wrong question. The question should be: is he good enough to get a new player through the early to mid content and the answer is yes
for a f2p character that requires almost no effort to fully upgrade, he seems strong as hell.
Could you use his active in slot 1 then move him to slot 3 and retain his guard? Like we do with 5th anniversary Vegito and Gogeta?
New players better be happy with all this f2p characters, at this point i dont know how did i even played this 8 years ago

Aight so if you can get to gofrieza turn 9 then use his active then yes he can tank under 50% normals. 2 mil defense + guard in slot 2 after his active is just barely enough for double digits. But thats after a couple requirements 😂 all in all a great character

He might be okay against janemba since janemba doesn’t really hit that hard with normals until the end of the turn. Super of course is devastating though
