I love the way wanda was stopping thor while containing the rift too the way She's handling it takes me back to infinity war when she was killing vision while stopping thanos.
Scarlet Witch is crazy strong. She's one of the strongest of the characters in the entire marvel multiverse, and that is saying something. In the finale of House of M when she said "no more mutants", she didn't just affect the 616 comics universe, but the entirety of the multiverse, that is how strong she is. When fully powered she can go toe to toe with elder gods like Set and Shuma-Gorath and entities like the Phoenix Force. Her only real weakness is that despite all the power she wields, she is still human, with all that entails.
She surprised him and onec he caught wind of what was happening he incapacitated her. She doesn't seem more powerful than him
@@themainman1 This was not Scarlet Witch at the Apex of her power, and she was both holding back a literal god (who incidentally happens to be the most powerful of the Aesir) and was preventing a rift in time and space from consuming the world, at the same time. So yeah, she was really fucking powerful. If she only had to deal with Thor (and not just hold him back), she would have wiped the floor with him.

The little hint that gave Steve Rogers away a little bit was that he was still holding the gauntlets Black Panther gave him.

The first version of the union jack flag that Captain Carter is wearing was created in 1606, featuring only the English and Scottish flags. The Union Jack was amended in 1801 to incorporate the cross of St. Patrick (Ireland). These heroes must be hella curious about the emblem.
This has to be the best multiverse worldbuilding Marvel has done. Fun characters, nice references, quips that make sense and such good action scenes. I agree with you, they could've done an entire season in 1602.
Yes!! 👏 They are doing such a great job on What If...? But Marvel has butchered movie, after movie, after movie. It's so frustrating!! I had zero interest in What If...? when it first came out but now I see it's the most creative and well written material they've created in YEARS! I really hope more people watch and Marvel takes note of WHY the episodes are getting great reviews. I'd LOVE a 1602 Avengers movie or full season show, animated or live action!!! 🎬 😢 I'm so bummed thinking of the great movies we could get if this group didn't just work on What If...?

@@Seasonal-Shadow_4674 I haven't read it unfortunately, yet! 🙈 I really love The Sandman and Good Omens. I'm excitedly awaiting season 2 of The Sandman on Netflix. I need to read 1602 and get The Sandman volumes... I've never read any comic book. It feels overwhelming because there are SO0ooo many years to catch up on, depending on the story/character I start with. I am interested in the Doctor Strange comics too because I've heard they are really good!

When forerunner Steve asks Peggy to tell him about her universe’s version of Steve she declines saying “no I don’t think I will”. This is a direct callback to the end of avengers endgame when Sam asks old Cap “you wanna tell me about her?” Cap declines with the same line

omg 10/10, this episode was an emotional rollercoaster, a crazy joyride in the world of Marvel 1602, just dripping with easter eggs straight across the blank canvas! glad paying attention somewhat to Shakespeare in English is helping with easter eggs in this one!
It was awesome, I wish they would have spent more episodes here, or do a Marvel 1602 Series all by itself.
One thing to add that wasn't mentioned was the ongoing joke by Loki saying that Iago is actually the main character of Othello and none of the other characters matter. Since Loki is basically the Iago character in the MCU.
Episode 8 is very awesome. Love to see all the Avengers variance in 1602. Keep up your great work Charlie. One more episode to go.

So great to see Scarlet Witch again, although I'm sadden this might be we all see of her in this series. And of course they had to find a way to keep her distracted since she is too powerful to do anything else lol.
This makes me wonder what is Dr. Strange is doing and who is the new threat that they will be dealing abd i have to say this episode was very nice that even Peggy Carter can hear the Watcher that made me wonder if the other Guardians of the Multiverse became powerful after season 1
The animation for this season has been amazing
They've made some improvements to some of the animation. Some of the episodes have been a little more polished than others.
I would really love for a sequel of 1602 but with fantastic four and mutants to be included

Also the pen-ultimate episode of Avengers assembling in 1602 amazing. This felt like Phase 1 of the MCU with 1602 backdrop and every character shines so well.
I love how the Way Thor is more serious in the show
I loved how few effs they gave to historical accuracy! Robin Hood was centuries before the Tudor period and the clay tiles that Peg is running over when she escapes at the beginning of the episode didn't become commonplace until much later. I'm pretty certain that Gaiman would also have shrugged at the wanton disregard for these details with a wry smile. Good fun.

The whole season, so far, has been great. Not expecting season 3 to be this good. This is hi-level quality entertainment, imo.
Reviewers stated that the one off series were just tv movies. People wanted more!
What do you think about the idea of there being a reformation of the infinity stones, but in people instead of rocks? For example, Loki being the time stone, Kahori being the space stone, Scarlet witch being the reality stone, etc.?

this was a great episode, it certainly kept my attention looking for all of those easter eggs. You are so right that there was so much you could watch over and over and keep seeing new things. It is interesting that Peggy can interact with the Watcher. Can't wait for tomorrow's episode.

They implied he had been killed prior to the events of the episode.

@emergencyawesome yeah, I know. Not surprised they did my boy Hawkeye like that. The writing team could have made it happen beforehand and made Steve a different character. Like Steve Arthur and then have him grab Thor's sword and Peggy's shield for an epic endgame-like moment. Still a good episode

Arguable the best what if episode this season the story , choreography of fighting, and usage of character felt like nostalgic marvel for me 10/10 episode cant wait to see what is in-store for us in the finale.
The fighting choreography is what really blew me away especially between carter and thor

I enjoyed the episode a lot, but i still am unsure how antman and others were able to shrink. Also,i thought cap was unusually strong for being a normal guy, i seen that coming on accident lol

I liked that Loki kept referring to Iago as the main character and a protagonist. In our world Iago is the villain in Othello and one of the most despicable characters Shakespeare wrote.

you're right, Thor was super thick, it was stupidly annoying lol, but did kind of make sense if they all had amnesia, although i don't remember that being explicitly said. but otherwise a fun episode compared to some of the other episodes. i was just a little disappointed at some of the previous episodes character development

I got a “Gangs of New York” vibe with the two hulks. Which would also be a connection to “The Man in the Iron Mask” (Leo)
Man, the man in the metal mask wearing the hood being Banner, ugh that really had me hyped for a half second. I still love anything with Hulk though, don't get me wrong.

With this still being the Month of December that “Wrong Place At The Wrong Time” line really reminds of the exact same line in Die Hard 2.

Before the Steve Rogers reveal I was so badly hoping Hawkeye was Robin Hood. Had a little bit of Kate Bishop hope in me.
When I was a small child, still learning the piano, one of the first songs I learned was Londonderry Air, aka, O Danny Boy. This episode and the Iron Man in Sakaar episode are my 2 favorite.
This episode was Awesome! I prefer a captain Carter as captain American. They made her fierce. Now I didn't get how stark did know certain technology while the next several scenes have antman abilities....

When the Hulk & Freak were fighting I laughed so hard; because, their fight was filled with futility.😅
Found it really weird that they went for Rogers hood when they literally have an archer who could've been Ronin Hood. Not only that but it was spoiled in the trailer that Steve was the forerunner and also captain carter was really not needed. This didn't really feel like a "what if.l the avengers..?" It felt like a "What if Captain carter dimension hopped to a dying universe?"
I believe I saw Thor's hammer in Tony's workshop, which explains why Loki says he lost it, and when Steve asks what Peggy's version of himself is like, Peggy says "No, no I don't think I will" exactly like what old man Steve Rogers said when Sam Wilson asked him about Peggy at the end of Avengers: Endgame. I highly doubt anyone will see this since I am one day late, but just to let you know about to major easter eggs you missed.
Wasn't expecting happy hogan to be in this episode. The hulk and purple hulk fight was great

fun easter egg in the way how he pronounced the famous quote too. he did a little comedy sketch with other actors who had played the part where they all focus on different words being the focus and even the now king of england appeared
The way Peggy removes the glove from the box reminds me of how Iron Man gets his armour on in Iron Man 2 during the Monaco attack by Vanko.
I believe when bucky says barton sends his regards its also a GOT with Roose Bolton saying "the lannisters send their regards" before stabbing Robb Stark and a nod to the crossbowman during the red wedding and when robb stark got shot
The characters were not erased from existence in this temporal timeline in this universe, they were sent to their corresponding timelines
