      @@Boo-Stein There was a famous recording studio in Minnesota that handled some of the biggest grunge bands of the day. It was where Nirvana recorded their last album. The industry was abusive to these artists. I think it's a slight to the big labels picking up bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam while leaving Soundgarden behind, they're feeling "outshined."

      Soundgarden fans are pretty cool. Same goes for the band. Their music probably inspires this. Back in the Seattle days they helped out other bands and jammed with them rather than pointlessly squabbling, as they realised that we're all in the small shitty boat together, and you can either get along and make the best of it or fight amongst yourselves and watch it all sink. There's probably a moral for our turbulent times in there somewhere. Thanks for taking us along for the ride, dudes.

    I will forever be 15 years old again watching this video. This is where it all started for me...staring in awe at the tv when this would come on Headbanger's Ball (look it up, kids.) Soundgarden kicked down the door to my 15 year old mind in a profound way. Inspired me to find strength I didn't know I had. This is what I'm going to try to carry with me now. I am a stronger person for you having walked this Earth, Mr. Cornell.

      You know it's the PRODUCER that get the sounds and tones, right?
      Yes, of course, each individual musician comes into the studio having tweaked their instrument to its best sound and tone ambiently, but then it's up to the producer (in this case, Terry Gates) to transfer that live sound onto a recording, and that's a whole 'nother process. If you like the tone, it's a combination of Matt and Terry, not Matt alone. If you like the "drumming" - then that's all Matt.

    Its been months yet I haven't been able to listen to any Soundgarden/Audioslave/Temlple of The Dog since Chris passing without crying like a baby. Chris Cornell has helped me alot, especially when I felt like giving up. In high school we had to do a painting so I chose to do fireworks with 'Don't you like up something that you wanted to see fly' written in the sky; And I did a portrait of Chris. The drawings weren't the best but it helped me get through tough times. There have been countless days when I've been so down and just turned on my music and felt a sense of relieve, a sense of understanding, a sense of not feeling alone. I really feel like I lost a good friend, When I hear people talk about his death I just sit back quietly and listen to what everyone says because I don't want to be the one person who starts overreacting and crying but in all honesty its been very difficult, I'm fighting back tears while typing this. I've seen so many singers and celebrities come and go in my lifetime but none have affected me like this. I appreciate the art and dedication that was created by one of the greatest bands of all time.
    Thank you Chris for making such great music and may you rest in peace

      Chris was awsome in all those bands and in solo. Both bands were 2 of my favourites bands of alltime. They had great names (and it's rare) with significant and simple meaning (thanks to Chris) and amazing songs that sounded like no one else. I would love your input on our last video from our first album. It got the attention of one of my heroes Joe Bouchard (ex bass player founding members of BÖC) who is following us on Soundcloud but returns from people who likes same music is always the best. If you have just 3 minutes to listen and a bit more to comment, that would mean the world to me. Keep rockin' : th-cam.com/video/kFxeV8oom3U/w-d-xo.html

    The 1990's:
    The last decade of talent, musicianship, and creativity.
    The last decade that had something to say.
    The last decade to change the landscape of pop culture.
    I turned 50 this year and I wholeheartedly believe that we'll never see another artistic Renaissance quite like this decade.

      Yeah, it seems that way. And that's because these guys (much like myself) were brought up in the time during the late 70's and 80's when music in general was amazing and genres started to mix and just create things that people never heard before and haven't seen since. These guys are a bit older than me. I was born in '79. But it all had a massive influence on my life. And I do agree that the 80's and 90's may have been the two best decades in music history. Of course we will always have the classics. But when those guys got older and gave birth to this stuff it began creating whole new genres within rock and even pop that made the music world absolutely amazing.

      this is very ignorant statement. 2000's had great music, 2010 did too, 2020s did as well and there will be plenty more in the future. To say otherwise is ignorant, a slap in the face of the talent being made today and shows you're too lazy to look outside of the top ten charts,
      there won't be grunge again, but that's what made it special. Your parents called this brand of msuic "noise" and "garbage". Don't be like your parents. you can like this and other artists as well.

    • @gimmethepinkelephant3685
      @gimmethepinkelephant3685 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@crushycrawfishy1765 it's definitely not a slap in the face or ignorant. Everything today is just a bunch of kids who've sold out to the establishment and can't create anything new. It's trash and he was 100% correct to call it out... Name me one thing that's come out in recent years in rock or pop music that can even compare to what came out during the 90s or 80s.... I'll be waiting for an answer.

      So you're saying the last great music came out when you were a teenager/20something? It's so lucky that it just happened to coincide with when you had an open mind for enjoying new things and the time and energy to sit around listening to music!
