Documentaries can be so intimate and personal with your subjects and you sometimes need them to feel that all the tools you have to tell their story just melt away. Great tips for anybody with a passion for doc storytelling. Love the idea of picking one lens that has restrictions and seeing what you can do. 🤘

I love seeing videos like this, especially because I joined as a filmmaker. Your channel, from my perspective, is definitely at that crossroads of Vanlife, Winter Camping stuff, Sailing stuff and filmmaking stuff, but really all of it in some way can be filed under filmmaking, because the videos are films after all. It's also good insight on top of that

Oh man, you are speaking to my heart Levi, your tips are worth gold. I think most content and video creators can relate to them. Greets from Berlin!

You’re one of the only TH-camrs that actually motivate me to make stuff. Thank you for staying real.

I appreciate the sensibility of restriction. Have an idea, build a box it lives in. The idea grows as things are removed. Sounds counter intuitive, but it's true. Great episode, Levi.

Levi thank you so much for this, I really needed to hear this message. I’ve been a perfectionist about a personal project I’m working on and wishing I had more footage of this and that and just need to get my act together and put it out. Keep up the great work and meaningful content!
