I may a bit out of date with weddings, but I always thought bridemaids are younger than the bride, somewhere in the line of young unmarried girls. am I right or wrong?
Shirley Hiett. There are bridesmaids older and younger, married and unmarried.
Traditionally bridesmaids were unmarried not necessarily younger. Maid of honour would be the only exception. But these days you have bridesmaids who are 8months pregnant, who are men, who are divorced with 3 kids so I guess anything goes.
