I bought a few years ago all pokemons from the first to the third generation (from pokemon red to pokemon emerald) replicas on purpose, because I never had the original pokemon games when I was little, so my strategy was, buy all the cartridges of fake pokemon to be able to play (since I didn't have to worry about the battery being empty and losing my save) and gradually buying the originals, until today I played all the fake ones and I only had problems with the fake red pokemon and yellow, the rest worked perfectly, and today I have the entire pokemon collection and I'm very happy

Hey man, I just got a fire red cartridge- everything checks out for the most part, but the “hidden number” factory code reads “00” instead of 11, 22, or 33. Does this absolutely mean this is a fake? Or possibly a relabel?

What are your opinions on reproduction cartridges? As for me personally, I don't mind them as long as they work and I'm able to save my game with them. Although the only pokémon reproduction cartridge that I own is pokémon emerald and it works pretty well, And I'm thinking of getting a reproduction of pokémon fire Red

For me personally Original and Color Bootlegs have mostly been fine and since the legit carts also use a battery save there is not much of a difference with performance/Reliability.
GBA E/R/S/FR/LG all of these bootlegs i would avoid Playing on those, ( For Collector purposes its good and saves alot of money, or if you just want to experience the story), The Legit carts use a Flash memory save that should last forever, Repo's for these still use a battery to save (Will eventually die and lose your save file)and in-game clock based events will not work. The game will work up until Elite 4 and then the save should corrupt itself.
However the repo carts do look good on the shelf and not too crazy expensive
I am really curious as too whether you repo emerald cart has made it past the Elite 4 without corruption? Have never experienced a decent gba repo myself.
DS repos can be a hit or a miss, Diamond,Pearl,Platinum repo was atleast good enough that i could trade to an original Heart Gold
Heart gold and Soul Silver Repo will Constantly freeze
Same with Black/White 1/2 + IR functions and certain features will not work Ex"Pokemon Bank"

For mine, on the back of the motherboard the 4 rectangles there's only 3 dots on the bottom left. Not like yours where it has dots on 3 out of the 4 rectangles. Also on the front of the cartridge, it says '20' as opposed to '11' like yours. Does this mean it's fake? Thanks!

Been looking at my Pokémon Red for awhile, I was worried my Cartridge might be a fake after all these years but I think someone just slapped a fake sticker to sell it for a higher price. But it has the indent in the back and it has its full motherboard looking through the light. So my Pokémon Red is a hybrid.
