What I like most about your videos is you give the rpm @70mph. All of your videos are great but that little bit of info makes the difference in buying any car for me.
Great review! literally just brought the exact model and R-design too and pick it up in 2days! cant wait, i'm like a little kid on Christmas eve :D
Enjoy, great car
From the start i did not like the v50, i liked xc70, xc90, and v70, but from this video i love this car. By the way i like these kinds of video where People explain what everything does and then they drive it. I like driving videos.
thanks for watching
If you're used to the heavy Volvos the P1 cars are kinda different, the V50 drives like a heavy Ford Focus TDCi, because that's basically what the car is. But Volvo made a very good car off the Ford platform which was already very good and reliable to begin with.
The V50 is a brilliant Volvo estate and also one of my personal favourites, I would prefer 2.4 litre straight five petrol engine or maybe the 220 bhp T5 but overall I adore this wonderful Swedish magnificence
Hows the economy of 2.4i?
@@denztingz On par with the 2.2 I4 petrol of let's say the Peugeot 407.
Great review! Like how on every review you flash your lights, unique and continuous. Like at 0:55
thank you, and thank you for watching, much appreciated
So,do you recommend these with this small diesel?
Aleksandar Čavić yes its a brilliant car, fast enough and economical
Awesome Video!🎥
I owned only Volvos, I have a V50 petrol 1.8 Lux version, got all the options possible, the engine is like a Suiss clock, quite, reliable, comfortable, a bit thirsty but who cares, its a sweet petrol
Do you know if 2009 variant of this car is 5 speed or 6? Thanks
I have the v50 2009 1.6d.
They are nice cars and not bad styling. But when they wear out they dont mess about. New addative tank, addative module, turbo, oil feed pipe, all new rubber hoses, injectors, bleed of pipes, rocker cover, egr valve, front struts and springs, rear spri gs, shockers, anti role bar and bushes.2 number plate light fittings, 2 headlight bulbs. Dpf, sensor. Fuel filter.full servi e. Yet it still randomly cuts out. Volvo fixes fix nothing. Have to always have more than 1/4 OF TANK of diesel, and 2 to 3 fuel filters a year to make it drivable. Yet for some reason i still own and drive it.not sure weather i should get tested or the volvo.
How many miles has it done? Sadly everything is the same these days. They make the cars so full of shit to reduce emissions, then all the stuff breaks and has to be replaced, causing emissions and wastes precious metals and materials, and costing more than the fuel they saved you, but hey thats progress i suppose 😂
I have to be fair though, its done 200600 mls. And wear and tear takes its toll, and im not the most forgiven driver. But i am finding modern parts are wearing out considerabley faster. In the last two years iv put two sets of drop are links front and back, and a second set of outer tie rod ends, within a year the bolts look rusty. Break pads defiantly wear down quicker. But then again i am a northern tight arse. Not moaning just general comment.
😂
Does anyone know where I can find this plastic protection for inside the boot ... that large piece of protection ...
Should be a link in our amazon shop www.bccars.co.uk/product-category/load-liners/
Have the same car but with leather inside and navigation as well. Please be so kind and explain a bit better how to use kealess entry
Lovely psa/ ford engine in these
its a nice car whatever is pulling it, Thanks for watching !
Is there quite high road noise ?
CM Marketing LTD no its ok, i use professional recording equipment which amplifies any sounds in the car, so you hear more noise when you listen to the video than you do when you are driving the car
I find mine pretty quiet.
My kia ceed is deafening
Hi, can I ask your height? For legroom reference.
5-11”
Not so much a review but a sales pitch. However, it does serve some informational purposes.
Hopefully its a little more benefit than a sales pitch, we have 12 Million views and 9500 subscribers and 550,000 viewers per month but we can only sell a car once, I try to make the videos to benefit potential buyers of this particular model of car (as well as my sales pitch for us) I am also constrained by time issues, would like to make them a lot better, but I film them, drive them, do the talking and then edit and upload them, I need an assistant :-)
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment
is it SOHC or DOHC? 8v or 16v?
8v
It looks🤘 but the engine D2 with DPF filter sucks.
I have 2011 Momentum model. Its ok to drive on express road and motorway for me.
In city drive I hate it. The engine is week...
If someone would to buy diesel should avoid D2 engine becouse D2 engine can kill your love to Volvo or to V50 model.
I have my V50 D2 from oktober 2021 and I will sale it. I will back to bensin. I could have again V50 but with 1.8 bensin engine or 2.5 Flexifuel.
Before I had V70 2009 Momentum Business 2.5 Flexifuel (what a beautiful engine sound) and V40 2001 1.8 Classic.
thanks for sharing your thoughts 👍
Thirty quid road tax on this 1.6d model.
bit cheaper than the £570 for my Rangie
@@BarrieCrampton the v50 would be 1400 euros in road tax in the netherlands :(
30 is nothing
