Please continue this, so informative and I think one can hardly ever find any content like this on youtube. When we are done with Margiela, McQueen can be the next big series.
i love Margeila cause the idea of fashion as concept is challenging for me... ive always seen fashion and clothing as something unnatural that is imposed upon us like a Biblical punishment, or a manifestation of our fear of nakedness...Margeila makes me consider fashion as art instead of advertisement or class status, but also makes me think about how much of art really is just class status
Bliss, I cannot believe I haven’t come around to watch this series earlier. Learning about Margiela is so fascinating, especially with this gripping storytelling of yours. Great video
thank you so much for the video about one of my fave designer, the one and only Martin Margiela I still remember how excited when I found his M's boutique nearby Jardin du Palais Royal, also the moment while visited the store in Antwerp......so memorable
Thank you! We’re all the way up to FW95 so far! You can feel free to bounce around, they don’t have to be watched in order. Thanks again for the kind words 😊
Wow first of all that vest Bliss damn sick af, second learning high fashion with you is always a pleasure i have learned so much in this episode interesting the concept of clothing backward. Thankkkk youuu so muchh for this series.
❤️❤️❤️ (just starting to get my head into fashion with 26, and maaaaan: your channel is absolutely incredible! i love to learn from your videos, it's a lot, and that's more than I could ever hope to find!!!)
The fashion time line should be looked at the same way we look at the human timeline. There is before Christ and after Christ. There is before margiela and after margiela
Absolutely!! I can’t wait for you to check out the rest of the series!! They don’t have to be watched in order and the newer ones have extended episodes available on the Patreon. Good to have you on board, Lorenzo ☄️🏌️
I'm so happy I came across this channel and series! I would be curious to hear more about the fresh red paint on the bottoms of the shoes that left almost "bloody" footprints of the tabis in this show.
This was fantastic! And I assume you've already recorded most of these episodes already, but it would be fun to also hear something about the reception of the collections afterwards
Haha, I’m glad you have so much confidence. No, I have not recorded most of the 42 episodes in advance 😂 And that’s a great idea! For this collection, it was well received by those in attendance, but very few people knew about the brand yet. A bunch of stores in attendance placed orders for product, but most never got the clothes because of production issues.
Those shoulders, especially when done in the knit tee, looks like when you have a shirt or sweater on a hanger that really shouldn't be hanging and you take it off and put in on yourself and have those little peaks happening from the hanger imprint. Kind of fits in with the idea of white clothes showing all the dirt and wear, this is also the garment telling a story.
this is so good to watch thank you :) Im writing an essay about it right now and it would be awesome if you could leave any sources in the comments, thanks a lot :)
Yeah! Demna worked at MMM for a while and I think he’s definitely brought elements of the Maison’s history into his own work. More critically tho, I think Martin shifted the standard such that many houses have done the streetcasted look without even realizing it’s a Margiela thing
Dear Bliss Foster, I really appreciate the work you are doing! This was exceptionally helpful for my bachelor thesis which i write about Margiela. I just wonder: What happens to the masks after the show? Are they "only" part of the performance act? Or did/does the fashion house sell these masks as fashion?
Part 37: Margeila comes on the show to beat up Bliss for finding out all of the secrets
lolz
A new era for fashion youtube
Yes please

Margiela madness
This makes me want to learn everything there is to know about fashion
And so you shall 😑

You cannot deny many elements of Gaultier’s work in his creations as he worked under Gaultier for many years.

The women’s collections book is crucial
@@BlissFoster Could you please say where I could find the original runway show video?
great video man what brand is your waistcoat?
Robert Geller! It’s one of my most worn items I’ve ever owned!
Who's the author and what's the name of book you're holding at 8:49? 🙏🏼
Fashion At the Edge by Caroline Evans
Bliss Foster thank You so much !!! ☺️
Would you say that Demna Gvasalia is using a similar approach at Balenciaga with his casting of "everyday" people?
Yeah! Demna worked at MMM for a while and I think he’s definitely brought elements of the Maison’s history into his own work. More critically tho, I think Martin shifted the standard such that many houses have done the streetcasted look without even realizing it’s a Margiela thing
Dear Bliss Foster,
