My favorite fall movie of all time is the HIGHLY underrated “The Ghost and Mrs. Muir” and it’s a gorgeous black and white film about a beautiful widow, the ghost of a sea captain and a quirky house by the seaside. It’s not necessarily set in fall, but the cool wind from the sea, the dark ambiance, sweeping sad music and the haunted house just do it for me. Please watch it if you haven’t. You will love it. 👻 🌊 🏡

I would recommend this book called “This Book Kills” by Ravena Guron. It’s a murder mystery set in a boarding school surrounded by a forest. Some parts of the book feel vintage and old, like old haunted tunnels. And the main characters boyfriend dies, someone stabbed him in the back, out in the forest. So she and her best friend are on a mission to find out who the murder is. It’s a murder mystery, and a little romance in the end. I hope you enjoy! 😊

I just started feeling Fallish today, the last day of September, and though I rarely reread books, I felt like I really wanted to pick up a couple of my cozy faves to read and get me more in the mood. My first book starts in the Autumn and is actually a manga-Our Dining Table by Mira Ori. Seriously the cutest and most wholesome romance where one of the two male MCs has a little brother they take care of. The other is Much Ado About You by Samantha Young (SO much better than her other book for anyone who has read that one and didn’t like it). It takes place in quaint English village where the female MC goes on holiday and takes on a temp job working in a bookstore there. This one actually starts in May but it just has cozy Autumnal vibes anyway. She meets a man and his dog - one of my all-time favorite romance novels! Ooh - and Amazon just delivered my new Fall read, “House of Roots and Ruin” by Erin A. Craig! I loved “House of Salt and Sorrows” by that author!! Perfect for October!
Fall in New England is awesome and I miss it. However, I'm in Scotland now and the summer had fairly cool temperatures. I started dreaming of Fall the beginning of Aug. As a cozy mystery writer who lives along the Scottish seacoast with cottages and castles I am easily inspired.

omg yes to the boo box!!! my bestie and i started doing that last year!! I got her pyjamas, a witchy t shirt, halloween candle, halloween socks, a little halloween decor item, a maleficent mug, cute halloween sparkly cup and some candies! I put it all in a $1 cauldron, covered it in spiderwebs and little bat lights and she LOVED it!! she also got me pretty much the same and it was sooo fun! we gave ourselves a budget of about $50!

Our neighborhood does a booed and boozed basket. You get tagged when you recieve one on your porch and give out 3 to other neighbors anonymously. It's so much fun. You include Halloween stuff, home goods, and a small bottle of alcohol (usually bourbon).
For anyone who loves mysteries and is wanting something cozy to do during fall, I highly recommend checking out the Her Interactive Nancy Drew computer games series!! These are point and click mystery adventures that are the perfect thing to play in the fall! If you’re wanting spooky or autumnal vibes I would check out the games titled: Message in a Haunted Mansion, Curse of Blackmoor Manor, Legend of the Crystal Skull, The Haunting of Castle Malloy, Warnings at Waverly Academy, Ghost of Thornton Hall, or Midnight in Salem! I want more people to enjoy these amazing games!
Although I'm a truly and hardcore spring enthusiast 🌹🌼🌷, I really enjoy these autumn contents and videos as well! Unfortunately I suffer from seasonal depression so the darkest months of the year (November, December, January) are quite difficult for me... Not because of the weather (I prefer cool, rainy falls and cold, snowy winters to dry, hot summers!) but because of darkness. I can't stand short days and long, dark nights! 😢 But I really love the first part of autumn (September and October) because of the beautiful, colorful trees and leaves 🍁🍂🍁, the atmosphere and the coziness ☁🌰☔ and Halloween. 🎃 P. S.: Ginger hair suits you way better than blonde hair, Desi! 😎
Do you live somewhere with snow in the winter? I find it is easier to like the darkness, when there is snow to reflect the little light we get. This is not like advice to move somewhere else, just wondering.
Thoroughly enjoyed this video! I don’t know what it is about this year, but I am, for the first time, happy to say goodbye to Summer and enjoy the change of seasons. I’ve already decked out the living room in earthy toned pumpkins and am styling a vintage apothecary on my display shelf. Having tons of fun with it and my house is smelling delicious. I recommend making a simmer pot with oranges, cinnamon, star anise, apples etc. It feels so cozy and the house will smell glorious all day. Love the idea of romanticizing you’re life ❤

Every year, usually in September, i start my rewatch of the Good Witch Series (First the movies, then the TV show) because i love it so much. It's so wholesome and cozy, some would even say cheesy, but i don't mind. It gives me good vibes and let's me forget about the problems in the real world. My two favorite books of August were Sense and Second-Degree Murder (a Jane Austen retelling) and The Cosy Cottage in Ireland. I really enjoyed them :)

I make boo baskets for my kids! I started in 2020 since Halloween didn't happen that year in the traditional sense, so I put together baskets for the kids. Boo baskets are now part of our Halloween/ October traditions.
I want you to know that it is very refreshing seeing a woman like you doing what you do. I am only in my 30s, but have been struggling with depression and judgements from unhappy people about marriage and children which it is my right not to do or want. I like baking, everything autumn and setting goals and doing small things that make me feel alive and happy. Scooby Doo on Zombie Island is my favorite. We are very much alike. Happy to subscribe to your channel. We need more people like you. Women all act like they need to follow that old fashioned wheel in a toxic world to have innocent kids instead of adopting and blah blah blah but we are allowed to do exactly want we want. We can do whatever we want. Life is our gift and our mission to get through it.

I love to watch Midsomar Murders in the fall. It's very slow paced in the beginning of the episodes but gets more morbid, especially the first seasons are really creepy but still in a cozy setting if that makes sense. One of my favorite shows 🧡🎃🍂

These are point and click mystery adventures that are the perfect thing to play in the fall! If you’re wanting spooky or autumnal vibes I would check out the games titled: Message in a Haunted Mansion, Curse of Blackmoor Manor, Legend of the Crystal Skull, The Haunting of Castle Malloy, Warnings at Waverly Academy, Ghost of Thornton Hall, or Midnight in Salem!

Although I'm a truly and hardcore spring enthusiast 🌹🌼🌷, I really enjoy these autumn contents and videos as well! Unfortunately I suffer from seasonal depression so the darkest months of the year (November, December, January) are quite difficult for me... Not because of the weather (I prefer cool, rainy falls and cold, snowy winters to dry, hot summers!) but because of darkness. I can't stand short days and long, dark nights! 😢
But I really love the first part of autumn (September and October) because of the beautiful, colorful trees and leaves 🍁🍂🍁, the atmosphere and the coziness ☁🌰☔ and Halloween. 🎃

Do you live somewhere with snow in the winter? I find it is easier to like the darkness, when there is snow to reflect the little light we get. This is not like advice to move somewhere else, just wondering.
Thoroughly enjoyed this video! I don’t know what it is about this year, but I am, for the first time, happy to say goodbye to Summer and enjoy the change of seasons. I’ve already decked out the living room in earthy toned pumpkins and am styling a vintage apothecary on my display shelf. Having tons of fun with it and my house is smelling delicious. I recommend making a simmer pot with oranges, cinnamon, star anise, apples etc. It feels so cozy and the house will smell glorious all day. Love the idea of romanticizing you’re life ❤

Fall is the best season.
Every year, usually in September, i start my rewatch of the Good Witch Series (First the movies, then the TV show) because i love it so much. It's so wholesome and cozy, some would even say cheesy, but i don't mind. It gives me good vibes and let's me forget about the problems in the real world.
My two favorite books of August were Sense and Second-Degree Murder (a Jane Austen retelling) and The Cosy Cottage in Ireland. I really enjoyed them :)

I make boo baskets for my kids! I started in 2020 since Halloween didn't happen that year in the traditional sense, so I put together baskets for the kids. Boo baskets are now part of our Halloween/ October traditions.
I want you to know that it is very refreshing seeing a woman like you doing what you do. I am only in my 30s, but have been struggling with depression and judgements from unhappy people about marriage and children which it is my right not to do or want. I like baking, everything autumn and setting goals and doing small things that make me feel alive and happy. Scooby Doo on Zombie Island is my favorite. We are very much alike. Happy to subscribe to your channel. We need more people like you. Women all act like they need to follow that old fashioned wheel in a toxic world to have innocent kids instead of adopting and blah blah blah but we are allowed to do exactly want we want. We can do whatever we want. Life is our gift and our mission to get through it.

The weather has finally changed here, from daily temps at 108 to 95 (I know it still sounds hot, but it’s a huge reprieve!), and watching Desi’s videos help keep me in a happy space knowing that “Autumn is Coming”. I'm always excited for this type of videos, love to find new recs for each season. I just got my A Discovery of Witches book today and it's my 2nd attempt at it but I already like it more than the first time. Somehow, I thought it will be an ideal book to get into the autumn mood.

I love to watch Midsomar Murders in the fall. It's very slow paced in the beginning of the episodes but gets more morbid, especially the first seasons are really creepy but still in a cozy setting if that makes sense. One of my favorite shows 🧡🎃🍂

It means that rewatching your old videos, I can visit the places you used to go to and see the things I've fallen in love with through watching your videos.
