  • Here's a little series I filmed when I went to Michigan back in June! This was my 1st full day birding in Michigan and my 1st day birding in the Upper Peninsula (The UP)!
Watch PT 1 here: • Most Endangered Bird I...

The Munuscong Potholes is a great area. Glad you found all your targets and enjoyed your time there!
Spruce Grouse up near Whitefish Point are much easier first thing in the morning.
And Munuscong Rivermouth is a cool marsh.
    I LOVE the UP!

Awesome video! I used to see a sharp-tailed grouse in Nebraska.

I just stumbled across ur channel, and wow! Not nearly enough birder vloggers here. Funny enough, I’m also in ymos

Thank you! That's really cool that you're in YMOS - what's your name? I'm curious if we've ever crossed paths.

HOLY CRAP! Was this at Munuscong WMA?? I'm not sure if you remember but there was a birder there who pulled up alone and you and your family told me about the UPSA & STGR. THAT WAS ME!! What are the chances...

Yup it was! No way - that's so crazy! I remember you.

Just got done watching both parts of your birding expedition to Michigan, after thoroughly enjoying the one from your pelagic trip. Awesome! I’ve had the privilege of seeing cranes while visiting relatives in MI, but unfortunately only Sandhills. I’ve been having so much fun birding “with” you. Respectfully stated… you’ve rapidly become my favorite TH-camr, Emma. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Keep up the great work!

Another cool video! Do you use a bird sound ID app? How did you develop your bird sound knowledge? I just started using the Cornell Lab Merlin app and love it-hope to improve my bird sound knowledge. Keep up the great work!

Great video, Emma. We only get LeConte's in winter and usually just a glimpse, so it was nice to get such a good look at one.

Awesome video!! There aren't enough bird vloggers out there. I could feel your excitement when you saw the Upland Sandpiper. Keep it up!

Thank you! I definitely agree that there's not enough birder/wildlife photographer vloggers.

Loved the shots of the Mourning Warbler ,but was extremely amazed at the flock of Black Terns and the Uplands both species very rare now where I reside . Once much more abundant. I am curious as to know how the Tick situation was there as it made me nervous when you ventured off the side of the road into the woods.

Thank you! The ticks were nothing like NJ. I could’ve never walked off trail like that without tons of bug spray and tall boots on in NJ.
