The fact that the Traveler wants to test how strong Arlecchino is was a very brave but then I realized that she wasn't being serious and was holding back. Hope the Traveler survive from the Captain 😆
We won’t or at least with a help from other characters, but moving forward I don’t think will be fighting the top 3. Arlecchino is already an example that we can’t beat them. Remember what nahida said, the top rank 3 harbinger has power comparable to the gods.

1. Arle was 'Testing' them. to see if they are worth it. If she just doing some ordinary grass cutting skill, they won't get serious. So she need to bring entire lawn mower to them.
2. I'm sure killing kids is a serious issue even for the traveller. I mean they probably also tested her and went they went serious, they realized that the 4th is on another level to them

He was serious but not the Knave as Lyney said in the story quest. If both of them get serious Arlecchino will easily win due to her Domain of Crimson Moon where Traveller cant move its her world and her rules he cant do shit without any Archon/powerful chars helping him🤣🤣

I see some people only focus on the defeated traveler without showing anything and rate this quest bad but for me and many others still see this as a very good quest, so emotions, through which we can see that high-ranking fatui will be not easy to defeat and fatui's plan is mentioned in the quest too, so excited to wait for natlan in this august

I know right. They even believe that the traveler has mastered the ability to use two or more elements at the same time despite there being no evidence to prove that. The Traveler only did it once against childe, and it didn't do anything to him. The moment he pulled anemo out was shown as an act of desperation rather than an act of "time for me to go all out" because Childe was closing the gap between his blade and Aether's face.
Even worst, they think that every fight the traveler has been in has made them stronger when they have been assisted in every fight they've been in. The Traveler has been carried by two man missions and 4 man missions since the start of the game.

@@19koffingit’s one thing to expect that, but it’s also important to remember that these “elements” are a foreign thing to the traveler. Their experience can only make up for so much when u take into account they’re fighting with a fraction of their power. Ofc they’d lose.

That line gets me every time: oh I almost forgot, there’s no getting older for me”. She gets excited about getting to leave and travel and see the outside world but remembers that there’s no future for her. Seeing that her dear friend and the person she cared for most in life is doing well and is fulfilling her dreams is enough consolation to give her peace
It makes it even harder you can hear Arlecchino holding back her emotions when she says "may we meet again someday" you can barely hear her choke it out.

@@narukamishirou284 Possibly if she overuses her curse, her character stories say that if she doesn't keep it under control and the blackening starting from her arms reaches her heart, she will undergo a "change" whether or not that would be reversible is unknown or if she will even be alive after that

In Chinese&Japanses version, the last thing Arlecchino said to Clervie is " See you in the next life", I feel like that's a more poignant way to say goodbye, compare to the English version.
Both mean the same thing and I have no idea what arlecchino is like in the other dubs, but in English dub a big part of her personality is to not let her emotions noticeably influence her. “Poignant” would be out of character for her, and I don’t think that’s the right word to describe the ending of those dubs either. It’s more solemn if anything.

I think about two different contexts:
"May we see each other someday" implies that if she dies, she will reunite her friend in the afterlife.
"See you in the next life" means that as she dies, the next life would be the two of them living side by side, two friends growing up happy.

You can't exactly say that tbf, cutscenes are only played for important plot changes so if he didn't use them there it doesn't mean that they didn't use it in the whole fight
@@iacAon that's stupid excuse, Hoyo has showing their other MC using their elemental power in cutscene even if that only in the end of the fight, for example Kiana vs Senti, Trailblazer vs Cocolia, even Traveler vs Childe & Raiden.

1) How tf have the Fatui not just cleared all of Teyvat at this point if there's FOUR people higher than Arlecchino (Columbina, Dottore, Capitano, and Pierro)? We're the same Traveler that beat Full Power Childe, Full Power Signora, Giga-Buffed Scaramouche (though mostly because of Nahida), and both Ei and The Raiden Shogun (even if it's very likely that they were holding back on us), and we're just getting packed up by Arlecchino like we're a god damn afternoon snack?
2) What in the actual fuck are we supposed to do in Natlan against Capitano? We better be borrowing that domain of Ei's where she fought the Shogun for 500 years to get a massive power buff.

this is literally the perfect amount lol
The only thing that I didn't like about the story quest, is how the traveler was portrayed in the fight. Like don't get me wrong I'm all in for a loss, so we can truly start working hard to get more strong. But in this fight, the execution on the traveler's part was terrible. As many point out, why does the writers don't allow him to use elements in a fight or even give him a better sword. Around 70-80% of the community is straight up blaming the traveler, rather than the writing of the devs. Like even if we lose, we should've gone out with a valiant effort. But nope! The way the writing was executed is just wrong and horrible
Otherwise, the story was fantastic! The ending hit me like truck
genshin finally shows their real power scale, put a fear on traveler of whats next.
hsr already done this with the aeons who just kill trailblazer by just staring at them at SU or emanator acheron who can destroy a planet, it just made us player terrified just an emantor that strong, how tf are going to beat real Aeon Nanook.

I mean, Childe and Arlecchino’s ranks are VERY far from each other so I doubt they’d be similar in terms of strength and stuff
That was when the protagonist had 2 elements, with 3 elements he defeated Signora, now he has 5 elements he should have defeated Arlechino but by selling you the character they make the traveler weak 😆

If so, what was this about exactly?
This was Arlecchino's Story quest.
SPOILER :
The pitch is as follows : an "entity" that shouldn't exist infiltrated the House of the Hearth (Fatui Orphenage under the lead of the Knave n°4 of the Harbingers).
This entity presents itself as "Clervie", an orphan of the House, warning us of the dangers the orphans face, such as duel to the death and being subjects of terrible experiment by the Doctor (n°2 of the Harbinger), and push some of the members of the house to rebellion. Our 3 friends of the House (Lyney, Lynette and Freminet) hide her from Arlecchino and try to grant her last wish (Escaping the House), while we distract Arlecchino, which fails as she seems to know all of which is happening.
After a brief discussion with Neuvillette (Iudex of Fontaine), she tells us about her time as an orphan before becoming an Harbinger, time she spent with Clervie under the rule of the previous Knave, Crucabena (Cervie's mother by blood, and "Mother" of the orphans). Arlecchino mentions the multiple times Clervie fought to unite the children and escape the House, before being overcome by despair and losing her life against Arlecchino in a duel, who then kills the previous Knave.
After telling us this story, we're reunited with our friends and the "traitors", which Arlecchino seems adamant to punish by death. But Lyney and his group contest this decision, leading to a duel between Arlecchino and us four.
Overcome by her strength, we lose this duel, but she decide to change the methode of execution of the traitors : after some experiments, she managed to find a way to erase people memory due the properties of her powers, and ask the traitors to choose : death or deletion of all House and fatui related memories (with the garantee from Neuvillette that those with memory erased won't be pursued in justice).
Once the choice done, Arlecchino, the traveller and Clervie have a discussion in which they reveal to Clervie what happened after her death, tell her about the Traveller's adventures and finally set her free.
The epilogue then confirms that the traitors don't have any recollection of the members of the fatui, and are living life as they fit.
