I need Mr. Movies to recommend something relevant from his world-acclaimed Victorville Film Archive. 5 bags of popcorn and a little sassy thumbs down gif.
Serious film recommendation: Go see "Republic." It's a great film for listeners of this pod. It follows the story of one man who will not compromise his ideals for any reason and tries to change his government from the inside out. Typical liberal shit, right? Actually no, not at all. It honestly is one of the greatest political movies I've seen in my life
@@kashthrills long, 2.5 hrs. Although it's incredibly fast-paced the whole time so if the story engages you, you won't notice. Idk what a bag rating is, it's 9/10 on imdb

One wonders what Sinema "teaches" in Arizona. I can't see her as an ethical college professor. She is certainly not an ethical Congress Member. But, today, corruption IS considered ethical. The US id doomed.
Venom 2: aka even more goop than the first venom. Pure movie magic. “Get your friends, get your soda and tuck in for exactly 90 minutes”-Felix I’m also a Peter Parker/Spider-Man super fan since I was a kid and never expected to love Venom this much as well considering he scared the shit out of me growing up
Is there an online left shadow ban on discussing southern California wildlife sanctuaries that are inundated with oil? This is almost as disturbing as the spill itself. REALLY freaking me out. I thought Matt was in LA.
I wouldn’t read too much into it. There are a lot of oil spills around the world unfortunately, even just this year. A lot of them cause massive and long lasting destruction, this one isn’t unique in that regard. Simply another footnote in the tale of climate and capital.
"Democracy is the rule of many by their free will, isn't it?" "If the total is one hundred, as long as you collect fifty-one among them, you can make it rule by the majority. But that majority will be divided into many factions. Namely, if we add up twenty-six from among those fifty-one, they can rule the whole we spoke of before. How futile is the democratic principle called majority rule?" - Paul von Oberstein and Heydrich Lang Game of Thrones is American trash with nothin to say. Legend of Galactic heroes is the real shit.
Was anyone listening to this podcast unaware that the CIA doesn't like Assange? Not trying to be a dick but that interview was unbelievably dry considering how little new info there was (literally none?). Gotta love kirstas sonoma though.
Acting like Sen. Sinema 'enjoys' people following her into bathrooms is akin to saying that women want to be raped or stalked "She wants & likes what we're doing to her" Peak progressive strategy
No it's not even comparable And the time you're a literally preventing any action on climate change or secure a better future for our kids by giving the parents some money Or serving bourgeois donors while you're supposed to serve the public you deserved to be attacked
Biden was strangely correct yet again: you better be prepared for uncomfortable positions when you wield state power. Especially when nobody likes you anymore. Lol!! You and Sinema just need to get over it I guess.
i don't think the replies before mine were helpful so without being snarky i want to point out the difference that yes-- while being in a position of power should not be an excuse to treat a woman like crap, there is a false equivalency in saying it's akin or even comparable to women who don't have any voice at all. kirsten sinema has a BIG voice, and it's a shitty one, that hurts women and everyone else. i'm not assuming this about you, but anyone who says any person they don't like deserves unethical treatment (laughing at trump potentially dying of a disease he/the govt mismanaged, laughing at a high profile rapist get killed in prison, etc) is forced to take this "but violence is bad" talk off of the table. she does more harm than good. i don't wish violations of privacy or bodily autonomy to happent o her, but it's worth pointing out she doesn't care if it happens to others or to me-- and even plays a part in it happening more to people who are voiceless and powerless. and i think that's an important distinction to make. she's not "every victim" when her actions and decisions contribute to creating so many. or, good bait.
We should spend all the money right now Bernie wants $6 trillion in gubmint spending, why not 10 or 20, then everybody would be a millionaire. It's flawless
The fed already spent trillions of dollars bailing out the billionaires and the stock market during the pandemic, but I suppose making sure the rich don't lose out on their investments is more important than taking care of people. Dipshit.
