It depends upon MSFT Windows 11 for ARM CPUs. If it’s as seamless as Apple’s M1, then Snapdragon Elite X will be great. If not, then gamers won’t touch it.
@@tringuyen7519 Windows 11 ARM64 is exceptionally good and runs amazingly great on M2 or M3 series. Once Qualcomm and OEMs release high performance laptops and devices, Windows On Arm will take off immediately
Interesting move by Qualcomm and wondering where Qualcomm and ARM are going and where they will push Intel and AMD. More players the better!

Qualcomm is all hype at the moment. Its been half a year and we arill havent seen real reviews.

Technological advancements the government stopped and stuttered as she was talking. I am sitting here realizing that she really should have a better laptop and better connection.
Not sure when Asian users will get it because only Intel managed to get raptor Lake and ultra lineup quickly in the market. AMD 7000u/h runs out of stock quickly only to use older zen with 7000 naming scheme. Lenovo has found new scheme to reserve good screens for windows 11 license users in their online config page
oh this is the brand meta uses for their vr headsets cpu, it must be a good brand to process super good
Snapdragon x elite should put it on laptop as well as in smartphone just like m1 m2 m3 series of apple to put it on the tablet and laptops
Good analysis Leo I find this interesting. Hope to get another major player in pc sector. Apple showed neither Amd or Intel should rest on their laurels. 🙃
Intel and AMD can be afraid, but based on the results Apple still ahead (they reach the nearly the same performance with just 4 power cores what need 12 power cores for Snapdragon, because base M2 and M3 in all comparison has only 4 power cores and 4 efficiency cores against 12 power cores, not to mention they not even choosed the fair basic M chip, since X Elite had 23W peak and 23W sustained power consumption in Cinebench, that is machine with cooler against the fanless Macbook Air (19W peak and 8W sustained power comsumption in the same Cinebench, so it's the fanless base M3.. even Apple have the same base Macbook with cooler.. but they didn't even dare to compare themself with that.. so just the 3x more power cores handicap not enough for the better performance..?)
I will pass 1st gen of these for sure. It needs to get maturity anyway. But sounds promising, windows laptops still drain battery too fast.
However I dislike the naming. What is the next iteration model naming will be? "X Elite Pro Uber Mega Turbo Max Unlimited"?

Just because you got internet, doesn't mean you should spread nonsense.
Intel struggle with mobile chips and power / heat. Amd do a lot better. Having a Qualcomm option that offers good performance. Low power and low heat would be fantastic.

uhmm most of vid was about intel instead of x elite. Can't wait to see qualcomm newchip in real world. People are asking will itrun cyberpunk, because there were no CP77 at native games presentation.
I'm sure Intel would be happy to manufacture the Snapdragon X Elite for Qualcomm. If QCOM succeeds, Intel succeeds in this case. If QCOM fails, Intel maintains its market share in PC CPU market.

AMD and Intel should be worried if Windows 12 will work well on ARM, because then Nvidia will start doing their CPU/APU.
He needs to show this new CPU running games at (very) similar performance levels to the comparable competition, otherwise they'll not have the sort of impact they want.

Qualcomm and arm can make great low powered processors. Intel struggle. Amd have had good success with steam deck etc but these figures in the video seem high
Why don't we wait until it actually comes out and see what the benchmarks look like? Advance marketing isn't always accurate.
Hence the repeated use of 'Qualcomm claims' in this video. Nonetheless I am very keen to see the new chip in action.

Intel are so dull now. Would have been nice to get an amd Analsyis as they are actually doing well with consoles and other handhelds.

Bit of a shame the British government allowed ARM to be sold off otherwise some of that Intel manufacturing could have come to the UK.

Haha...if you think Intel would ever choose to make stuff in the UK when they have a perfectly good tax avoidance scheme going with their Irish factories, you're very wrong.
They are also establishing a factory in Germany, which is not known as a tax haven. The high subsidies for the new factory from the German government make it bearable for Intel.
I think this is more a question of location within the European Union and the single market. That is the reliability of the largest common market in the world after the US. The UK is out, it has shot itself in the foot again, the Tesla Giga Factory would have been built somewhere in the UK and not near Berlin without Brexit. Just like the Intel factory.

Desktop Qualcomm processor would be awesome. I’m impressed with apples m silicon. Time to move into 2025 and Intel are so far behind. At least Amd can make lower powered APus for other markets.
