@@mrman6845 the aberration battle is better gameplay wise ( genesis boss is just killing minions ), but graphically speaking, genesis is far superior as a whole composition
Man to Monster: injected himself with liquid unprocessed Element. Monster to Head: Got killed, somehow got incorporated by the System, so the ARK would respawn him as any other boss so Survivors could kill him over and over again. At the end of Extinction, all the ARKs came back, including Aberration, which crashed. You can hear Rockwell scream "I am FREE". He's no longer slave to the System, but somehow managed to enslave the System to him, and started using his corruption to create "a new world", then found out about the Genesis Simulation and modified it, causing the Glitches you find around, and making himself God there as well, planning to turn the Simulation into a "factory" of obedient servants.
Conner yeah, everything about the lore makes sense for rockwell to be interconnected to the genesis simulation since he is part of the ark system now. I just don’t get how Rockwell was able to grab us at the end of the genesis cutscene. We were in some kind of space craft and just bursts out. Maybe that woman who was getting corrupted was him leaving to the world beyond

The Corrupted Master Controller is in fact actually Rockwell who had hacked into the Genesis program and took the form of the Master Controller after escaping Aberration, this is evidenced in the dialogue during the boss battle, the ending of Genesis Part 1 which shows Rockwell and you can hear Rockwell's roar. How he accessed the Genesis Simulation is unknown. Throughout the battle against him, he reveals his motives to the survivor: to use the Genesis Simulation as a garden to test, enslave, and gather survivors who show a sign of servility or being subservient to his will and vision of the new world he will make on Earth. He rigs the Genesis Simulation by deleting most of the master AIs and rigging the final test where he is the final obstacle. He uses and turns inactive survivors into Corrupted Avatars to help build his army. In the final test, he tests survivors inside the simulation to see if they are subservient. Outside the Genesis Simulation, he uses Element to infect both the survivors that have passed his test and the survivors that aren't active. If a survivor passed his test and they weren't showing servility, he simply kills them to ensure his vision isn't threatened.
I think I know how he escaped aberration, remember at the end of extinction the homo-deus said ‘the arks are coming home’ ? That also meant that rockwell probably escaped to Earth when aberration landed on Earth and then he somehow found a way int the genesis simulation that way
Just remember, all the learning that happened on the island. All of the taming that happened on scorched. All the pain that happened on abberation. All the excitement on extinction, and it all comes down to this.
