That may be but the level of service you receive with these top tier cards is out of this world. Believe me I can call Amex and within 20 seconds a live person is on phone asking how my day is and asking what they can do to help. No waiting for someone to pick up after 30 minutes on hold to then be told you called the wrong department and have to be transferred for another 15 minutes. AMEX customer service is the best there is for a credit card company
I used the travel concierge on my Amex platinum card and they went way beyond what was expected. I had to book a ticket last minute for my mom and her 3lb yorkie to fly out right before Christmas for a family emergency and Amex platinum concierge went way beyond what they had to to ensure my mom and the yorkie were able to board without any hiccups. They verified the dog crate size that was allowed on the plane and even confirmed with the airline the dog would be a passenger the next day. Amex platinum travel concierge will always get a gold star from me.

I have the Amex Platinum card along with 9 other Amex cards I would not pay a $5000 AF nor a $10,000 initiation fee haha! Yes I don't have the level of spend nor income but still be realistic 1x rewards on everything LOL I'd stick with the Amex Platinum which still has tons of status and perks! Yea you get in everywhere and folks are at your beck and call, I still wouldn't desire to hold this one. ✊

The centerion card is for the uber wealthy. they fly private and do not use airport lounges anyway. this card does not make sense unless you have a super high net worth, it is literally the same benefits of the platinum card. Platinum conceige will book trips, airfaire, change reservations, get tickets etc as well. How much better can it really be to justify 10k?

you forgot the rental car status, the Centurion card i think comes with Hertz Platinum and Avis President's Club status rather than Hertz President Circle and Avis Preferred Plus offered by the Platinum

Apparently, their's isn't invite only which I found interesting. But I assumed the application was still similar to the US version and would be interesting to show everyone an inside look.
A lot of the benefits seem to be upgrades or special status, which give you nice perks or access to things you otherwise might not have access to. Most of these things seem to apply to travel-related stuff, though. This card would make sense if you travel a lot, otherwise, you're not going to get much value out of it.
I have the £500k in assets. But I'm still no way near rich enough to drop 10k on a black card. That would hurt so much... I wouldn't apply unless I'm at 3-5m at least. Also, one of the biggest benefits has to be the Equinox, but I don't hear good things about their steam rooms... Haha!
You need to spend 500k-1M, if not more, to receive invitations. Net worth doesn’t have to do anything with it. You just have to spend a lot every year.

The dent it would put in my profits + net worth is substantial and I wouldn’t apply unless I was 3-5m net worth. The basis of my comment still stands. It’s my assumption on the percentage of my net worth I’d be willing to blow on the 10k initial fees.

That’s an easy way to explain what is aspect ratio. If you want just look up what’s aspect ratio and you’ll know better. Cheers

Just wanted to share what it looks like as there are not many videos about it. I also did explain in the end this was not a US Centurion Card application, but I assumed they would look similar.
