Building a RANS S21 Plane - ep 25 - Firewall Stuff

I'm continuing to build a RANS S21 Outbound plane. This is a short episode where I add some of the components to the firewall, and attach wires to the fuel pump and low fuel light.

Right at 6:38-6:40 in your video, look to the left of your fingers and you will see the four grommets on the parts drawing. They are away from the rest of the parts in the drawing. You can find a 1” firewall pass through (SS) from Aircraft Spruce that will fit your opening. The older firewalls had the lower opening (mine included) and it comes out right behind the engine mount tube. Yours should be much easier to work with.

Thanks for your comments. I did see the 4 grommets on the page, but I had to make the assumption on what they were for. The parts page and the text page refer to them as different things, (a typical RANS habit) and the diagram does not show that they are for the coax holes. Thanks for the passthrough info. I had not figured out an answer to that yet. Ordering surely beats fabricating... :-)
