As someone who will sometimes religiously play monster hunter for a month and then leave for like half a year then come back I understand this experience very personally
Let's go king I haven't played in a few months cus I've been doing darkest dungeon speedruns (I got 30th in the world in necro% but can't get on leaderboards cus I'm on switch and can't record it)
That charge up animation he does isn't really a dps check. It's more of a (you either get to a safe distance or use the silk bind caster or the cannon to attempt to flinch him). You are kinda shooting yourself in the foot attacking him while he's charging up.
Yet they kept failing to flinch him. It's clearly too great a risk with their no spirit bird route, making the bind caster far more ideal. Doing so solo has a different number requirement than with 4 people I've also flinched Amatsu with the cannon during his charge up while soloing it and also while using the bow. But it's not really a dps check. (or rather should be treated like one) A dps check implies that DPS is the only and most effective way at stopping it like Alatreon's ult or the afflicted boom boom. (psychologically locking/gaslighting a player to do only that even when there are better ways) They'd have better luck with the silk bind unless they just desire to risk carting a lot. There's a reason why the A.I. helpers go to the normal cannons whenever he does that. Zaid was smart to move away. @@lplcDemon
@@Rageouz To repeat, it's not the only way to stop it. It's not like Alatreon. Treating it like it's a dps check ignores the tool the devs put in place to easily stop it and avoid risking a cart. (Especially with just 150 hp on his hazard version! His HP is huge!) Edit: just using the ballista allows you to get some free damage on him. It stuns him for a bit. It's all upsides to using it. But ignoring the tool on his hazard version (with 150hp), is just silly.
what 1 month of no monster hunter does to a hunter
gamer rust is real

This attack can be prevented with damage alone, I've done it in solo. You can also bind it while it's charging too.

I gotta look this up now
It kinda is, you can flinch him outta of it if you hit him enough. You could always do it, even back in P3rd and Gen

Zeid back on his timing I see
This is entertaining, do you guys plan on playing more Frontier Z too?
We played some last year, I have footage that I still need to edit still sitting around
👌
this make me realize how op lance is in this matchup because i can block every amatsu attack beside the ult that throw you into air
for checkpoint, this is the "No Talent" lore
Final expansion for Mh sunbreak has completed
Now we wait for the new MH game from Konami

I ❤️ konami
i really don't understand why they held this one for all this time, capcom had it ready on the final update and you could even access it with mods.
