I've got the GE road Name Ac6000 with the Paragon 3 Rolling Thunder DCC decoder in it.. It seems that It really does depend on what road name the locomotive is, that the "Crew Chat" (F15) sounds like. This one you demonstrated sounds too "Echoy" like - The one I have has the microphone crackling noise when they talk.. Sounds exactly like "Crew chat" and not Public Announcement (PA) sound.
They will change another new to my friend but the point is I feel very frustrated because the loco didn't work all the time. I had the same bad experience in Atlas S2 DCC with sound Loco. I think the DCC with sound in N scale loco is very unstable, I don't know why. But it should not happen if they have QC before the produce left the factory.

nice job James. did that thing have rotating bearing caps, or was that just my eyes are that bad? on a side note. I like the new intro. but this time i noticed the car is actually going backwards.. lol

Well James I think for the money they were a good bargain I paid about $239.95 +Tx and shipping .I have purchased 4 of them !
My friend also bought five of this loco but 3 of them were burnout after put it on the track just few second!
Sounds like you have a warranty issue did you register for your warranty on the internet I did the same day I received them in the mail , call BLI !
