Except for the Department of Chinese Literature, NTU doesn't have any department solely for international students. Meaning, there aren't any departments fully taught in English. Which every department you go to, you'll need to study at least couple of courses in Chinese.
And as far as I know, department of Life Science has a big proportion of Chinese classes:)

You can take English courses. But in order to finish your degree and graduate there must be courses only taught in Chinese. And of course, you can practice there. There are Chinese courses held just for international students(which is also a required class)
I would like to tell you is it's fine not to speak Chinese proficiently, but without any knowledge, it would be challenging to study there.

But if you go to Taiwan as an exchange student or a visiting student, you can specifically choose to take courses conducted only in English. If you want to study International Relations, then you can choose Department of Political Science, class of international relations. (This department is specified into 2 or 3 groups and one of them is the IR as I remember)

I have a Bachelor's degree from University. But not sure if I can apply for Master because I suppose they will expect me to have good grades at my diploma. But because I had to work part-time and live on my own.. my grades aren't that good... + plus I've graduated from English, so I thought that thanks to that I won't have to pass TOEFL.. but now I don't know how to apply to get accepted.
    Two options:
    1. applying with high school diploma (with good grades) but then how can I prove my English is good enough.. maybe I'll really have to pass TOEFL again... and I will have to get another Bachelor's degree and stay in Taiwan for 4 years.
    2. or maybe I can still have a chance with my University diploma? Even though my grades are low.. without passing TOEFL, then I could spend 2 years in Taiwan..
I am already 24 years old.. don't want to waste much time.. and years. I want to graduate and find a job later.. probably in Taiwan.
So what should I do...? Could anyone give me some advice?

I've seen several people's applications being rejected. The main reason must be they are not prepared enough.(We can't give you the exact answer, because we're just students studying at NTU) I think personal statement that clarifies your motivation to study at NTU and how you can do well at school is very important. On top of that language proficiency too. If all of those are ready, then the chances of being admitted to NTU would be high.

Those two are offered to people who plan to study in Taiwan. You need to apply for those two scholarships prior to the uni. application. Once you get into NTU, there also might be some other opportunities that you can get the NTU OIA scholarship(but offered to only a few people.)

    • @sweetpotatoislandtaiwan7411

Admission quota literally means how many applicants each department is going to take. So if it said 5, then that means among every international student who applies for the Department of Business Administration, they're only going to accept 5 people. But I've heard that if there aren't any eligible people, the department might not even accept 5, but take less than 5 people.

      @sweetpotatoislandtaiwan7411  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello!
      1. Degree students are given National Health Insurance(NHI). In order to get one, you should stay in Taiwan for longer than 6 full months.(Or maybe longer than that. I'm not very accurate about this) Within that 6 months, if you need to go out of Taiwan, you can only leave for 30 days.
e.g) After freshman first semester, I want to go back to my home country. Since I have already stayed in Taiwan for 4 months, I need two more months to go. Thus, I only stay in Korea for only 29 days and on the 30th day, I go back to Taiwan.
      2. Even you're enrolled in the international program, you can take Chinese classes. You can choose Chinese taught elective courses. Also once you enter NTU, school will assign you a Chinese class(language learning class). So you have enough classes to learn Chinese/use Chinese.
      Hope my comment helped you!

I think that means, NTU asks for your previous degree certificates. Since you're applying for the Department of Nursing for Doctor's degree, you need to submit your graduation certificate from Master's degree on Health related departments.
Like it doesn't make sense that you're suddenly applying for health related departments when you've never studied it in your previous degree. Does it make sense? So if you've done your Master's degree program in any departments from Health related field, you should upload that document(certificate).

@@nihalnetha96 Yes of course! Although text books are in English, some professors only use Chinese to conduct classes. And discussions could be in Chinese too.
Also it's mandatory for students in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures to choose another foreign language to study. And unfortunately, most of the languages classes are taught in Chinese too.

I haven't got my high school diploma yet because i will be graduating in march 2021 but i want to apply for undergraduate program for 2021-22 fall semester. So what document should i upload???

You need personal statement, study plan, language exam scores and recommendation letter. Also you should first ask school whether you can submit the diploma later(something like March or April)

I have one question though, for the chinese proficiency exam scores, do I need to take both HSK and TOCFL or could i just take one? Cause I'm not really familiar with the simplified mandarin and I would rather take the TOCFL if possible. Thanks 🙏

It is TWD 200,000 (USD 6,000) if you are not a scholarship recipient. If the bank account statement (b.a.s.) is not in applicant's name or has insufficient funds; NTU requires an additional signed guarantee of financial support.
It's not difficult at all, the form is on the application portal and the only thing that has to be done is to be filled and signed by a person, the guarantor, who has more than TWD 200,000 as shown in the b.a.s. provided.
