Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. It is the twentieth game in the Call of Duty series, and third entry in the rebooted Modern Warfare sub-series, serving as the sequel to 2022's Modern Warfare II.
The game is scheduled to be released on November 10, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, as part of a single cross-game launcher, known as Call of Duty HQ. A full reveal of the game took place on August 17, 2023.
Modern Warfare III will feature similar gameplay to Modern Warfare II and other games in the Call of Duty series. Mechanics returning in Modern Warfare III include the return of slide cancelling. According to Activision, in addition to linear missions, the game's campaign will feature "Open Combat Missions", allowing players to freely choose how they want to approach their objectives.
In Multiplayer, all sixteen maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) will be available at launch, alongside the ability to vote for maps while in a matchmade lobby (which was absent in some recent titles), and increased player health for longer "time-to-kill" (TTK). The "red dot" minimap that was absent in Modern Warfare (2019) and Modern Warfare II will also return, which will allow players to see enemies on their radar when the enemies fire a weapon without a suppressor. Classic game modes such as "Kill Confirmed" and "Hardpoint" will return alongside a new game mode titled "Cutthroat", where three teams of three players go head to head. In addition, the Ground War mode also returns with dedicated maps, as well as War mode, last seen in Call of Duty: WWII.
The game will feature moderation powered by artificial intelligence, listening in on in-game interactions and immediately reporting any overly-toxic behavior. At least twelve new multiplayer maps have been confirmed to release post-launch.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is a 2022 first-person shooter video game developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. It is a sequel to the 2019 reboot, and serves as the nineteenth installment in the overall Call of Duty series. It was released on October 28, 2022, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Like its predecessor, the game takes place in a realistic and modern setting. The campaign follows multi-national special operations unit Task Force 141 and Mexican Special Forces unit Los Vaqueros as they attempt to track down terrorist Hassan Zyani, who is in possession of American-made ballistic missiles. Powered by a new version of the IW engine, Modern Warfare II continues to support cross-platform multiplayer and also features a free-to-play battle royale mode, Warzone 2.0, a follow-up to the original Warzone, all within a single cross-game launcher, known as Call of Duty HQ.
Modern Warfare II received generally favorable reviews from critics. It was a commercial success and broke several records for the series, including becoming the fastest Call of Duty game to generate US$1 billion in revenue.

No excuse why this can't happen as there are 3 different studios working in rotation. That gives each of them 3 whole years to make their game. What has ruined it is they are focusing on BS microtransactions and skins instead of making a solid game. People don't care, they will still spend their money and say "just a beta". Then the company won't fix anything from beta and people will say "it's only been out 2 months". See the pattern? Before we know it, the new COD is coming out and the old COD never got fixed. But people are so short minded they forget this and just buy the next one. Dummies.
Fans back in 2011 were complaining about MW3 being like a MW2 expansion disguised as a new game. Who would have thought that we would be here again today, making the same conclusion about their respective reboots? I don't know whether to call it irony or a genius attempt at fan service, for those who stop to think about it.

Well, look at 2009 and 2022, there was an economic recession, an Avatar movie AND a MW2 game in both years
The only differences between those pair of games are:

-A more grounded campaign connected to COD4
-A expanded and better Spec Ops with extra modes like Survival
-All original maps at launch
-Introduced Scorestreaks and Specialists streaks with Killstreaks also being available, each one with their own unique streaks
-Introduced weapon levels to progress instead of challenges
-etc
And because all of these are differences, this means, MWII & and MWIII are much more worthless than MW2 and MW3.

I personally like it better than 2, but maybe that's just cause it's a little new.
My main issue with the graphics downgrade since mw19 is anything from the end of the gun onwards. I think anything on the operator and animations and weapons all look fantastic in all three games, but there was just this vibe and ambience on mw19 multiplayer in the settings and lighting that just felt so real and quality. I was so impressed by that game. You’d think the following two games would have improved and improved but they have got worse both in terms of the graphics quality and for me the new mw3 gameplay has turned to complete arcade shooter that I probably won’t buy it.
I believe that this was caused by the removal of Ray Tracing from the game in order to make their games more accessible. RT is still a resource intensive process and it obviously reduces the quality of shadows, particle lighting, reflections which contribute to the "vibe".
I am surprised that they decided to keep RT out of this MW3 game. I personally would've loved that little extra for those who can run RT.

Probably because MWII added a lot more saturation which makes things looks more like cheap plastic. Since a lot of people where crying that MW2019 looks to grey and depressing.
@@Aviciiz yeah mw2 was definitely more colourful. All the buildings look very basic and square too. It’s just sharp edges and blocks everywhere. Nothing looks organic.

@ocurrent8729 ahh the realism and attention to detail was on release, same as 2019. It's the BS live service aspects and updates that ruin the games performance, 2019 became such a joke that textures and floating objects could be seen in the sky on the Hill map on PS5 merely 2 years after release!

(Keep in mind, Beta graphics are probably on low-mid graphical settings, so launch or post launch will look better)
•Lower down brightness until what suits you
•Tweak your TV settings for color like saturation (not too much), gamma coloration to lighten up dark areas.
•Balance out warm and light colors (preferably warm a tiny bit more)
•Tweak your sharpness, make sure it’s not too sharp or blurry
•Finally, turn off motion blur and film grain to make it look nice.
Your TV/Monitor might have more settings that you can tweak with, so it’s down to personal preference
No because you’re settings transfer over from mw2 to mw3 so what ever you changed in mw2 it’s gonna show on mw3

They both run the same engine as warzone. If it was an entirely different engine it would've had its own application for start up. That's why if you have warzone or mw2 you can play the beta on the same application because it's the same engine. @@Shrewbloom

Game feels good playing been on the beta for the past couple days, and big difference compared to MW2 the game actually feels somewhat playable, and not a one sided shit fest. But it’s just beta so let’s see how the final product turns out.

Idk the MWII & MWIII graphics why so downgrade from MW2019. MW2019 Graphics absolutely goat perfect realism visual with light performance pc specs, compared to the two games MWII&III the visuals look like plastic, which is very downgraded n I feel the performance has decreased slightly. I have tested graphic settings with 3070Ti n Ryzen 5600x with 32gb ram. in MW 2019 MP I could touch 240fps++ with Low quality / competitive set @1080p while I tried the same thing in MWII settings n I couldn't even touch that frame rate number anymore, I only got around 150fps++ in MWII. Idk what the developer has done. Maybe MWIII visuals would have been better n more fps if they had used the old graphics engine that MW2019 n more improvement for the new sequel.
The three games use the same graphics engine, the only thing that differentiates them is the color palette and saturation

Mw3 is clearly undersaturated by a lot. Hope there’s an option to change it cuz I like colours in my game. Weird how for the arcade game they choose to give it a dull realistic look
The game itself (mw2) was 120 GB and after months of updates it is 200 GB... It's the same with cod mobile. The game was only a few GBs but now it's 30, and they didn't add anything, simply with each update it's the GBs of the update plus the game's own GBs duplicated.

As game dev the something the player feels wrong about the graphics is that TBH the real world is some what desaturated the devs think actually if they made eye accurate graphics it may take up system memory

not sure how anyone can think that the current graphics in the playstation beta are indicative of the graphics we will see on pc and current gen consoles come release. it's quite obvious that the level of detail regarding textures and post processing has been downgraded to allow for a smaller beta download, not to mention that lack of adjustable settings that will be available on the pc version

cause its the beta, its like a 20 gig download so ofc you're not gonna be downloading high res textures and lighting. they cut everything that dosnt affect core gameplay being the graphics and details otherwise if you wanted all that itd be a 100 gig download. they make it shit house and cut all the unnecessary features for the beta so the size is smaller and thus more people can download and play

Hey, I used to love BO1, I’ve played a few others over the years, the last I bought was BO3 and I wasn’t fussed. I’ve not bought one since but really wanna get back into playing. I don’t really care about graphics much, I think multiplayer is more important than campaign, but still want it to be decent any suggestions/ would you recommend mw2 or mw3? (For ps5 also)

Imo, I really like the gun sounds and higher ttk in MW3 beta. The two games are kinda similar outside of the movement and maps. (Still not going to buy it though since I have MW2.)

MW2 looks drab and dreary by default. OP forgot to turn off their game filters in the MW2 comparison so it makes it look way more saturated than it should. Plus they did their comparison in the DRC map, which has a lot of bright buildings and a sunny skybox. A more accurate comparison would've been to use the Hatchery map in MW2 since it's got a similar tone and color palette. Otherwise this isn't really a fair comparison.
Favela in MW3 is supposed to be colorful and its somehow still washed out. MW2 colors were much better.

Personally I’m okay with how it is. I’m not a graphics snob though. I’m just happy with the fact that I’m currently playing on maps I loved growing up. I would love a map rotation of all the most popular cod maps from the originals. I think a lot of people are missing the point that it’s also beta. I will also be curious to see how everything plays out with Microsoft buying the company out. Either way, as long as my 1080ti runs it I’m happy.

Yeah you used to get 3 zombies maps for 30 bucks but you'd have to buy the base game too actually bringing the cost up to 90 dollars, plus you have the original maps plus the new ones. @@Rockyroad321 if its 2013 and they announce that a brand new cod game is all remastered maps and no new original content aside from campaign and zombies then you'd call it a rip off, but since you've drank the Kool aid you act as if it's okay they held maps from releasing in Mw2 to give Mw3 a bigger map pool, and essentially remove the need for developing new maps until season 1 comes around.

Not really. Mw2019 was more realistic and had better movement and ambiance. The newest MW2 and MW3 are more like a black ops cold war, more arcade.
@@frankshooter Realistic with slide cancel... yeah, that's a deal breaker for me, I loved the campaign but the multiplayer was full of either camping snipers or rushers with everything maxed out, "warzone 1" was good except for the slide cancel again literally the main gameplay was to do slide cancel because otherwise you were at a disadvantage 🤷🏻♂️
from the point of view of realism, mv2 is better and mv3 is similar to battlefield 2042

The shaders on the beta and full game for MW2 was so buggy, the MW3 ones look way better and much more optimized.

My only complaint about mw3 is the spawn system. Gameplay is alright with the slide cancelation, and a few other things. Graphics nah I never cared for graphics ever since advanced warfare and infinite. Growing up in the early 2000's gaming since advanced warfare felt so real for me.
why you don't know that this new mw3 was going to be a dlc or extra content for mw2 and they decided to make a complete new game from this content called MW3

Cod is not a realistic shooter game at all. It does have realistic graphics but the shooting part. Not so much. If you want to see realistic shooters try Arma 3, Hell Let Loose, or Squad to name a few.

This MWII vs MWIII feels the same as MW2 vs MW3 back in the day… Like, both series has the second game does something new with the gameplay and overhaul the graphics quite a bit compared to the first one.. But then the third game came out and it does basically nothing new to the graphical fidelity, the physics of the engine, the way the game played, the UI and so on… The only new stuff was new weapons and operator skins… Like history are repeating itself…

I dont know, i know they downgraded the graphics but in a way I prefer it that way with the more bland colors and plastic looking, it got a old school cod vibe like black ops or mw3 original, like I feel more at home than with mw2 or mw19

Treyarch was still using their old engine. Obviously it's not going to look anywhere near as good as 2019 let alone modern warfare iii. Treyarch should be using the new engine now because apparently Activision is forcing them to use it.
Which makes sense. I don't want to learn how to use a completely different engine while making a new game, when I can just easily use my old engine that are already know how to use and try to make it behave the same way as the new engine.
