Fantastic job old mate. The colour was spot on. Interesting buying story. I think some people on Ebay forget it is an auction and not a retail site. Therefore, the item is worth only what you, the buyer, feel it's worth - not what they, the seller, believe the value to be.

Nice resto job,Martin.I simpathise with you with your eye infection mate, hope it gets better real quick. With those wheels, they actually pull off.they have small black inserts which are embedded in the hub.pulling on the wheel usually free's the wheel, leaving the black insert attatched to the axle.It is plastic which will melt if put in caustic soda!I I know from experiance.

this is how auctions sometimes go... two years ago I caught a giant GAMA Tyrrell racecar for the starting bid of 1 euro, and upped to 20, because it was almost easter, and the thing was worth it... and I felt for the seller.
love the red, it's decent and elegant. :) interesting to see the arial mechanism. I always thought it was all-plastic. no idea what the metal strip could be; maybe a soft spring steel alloy?
also the poor model looked like the kids played accident out on the street before the house, and maybe the startled grandparents took the models away before they got destroyed and sold them to someone...

G day Martin if that's the quality of work your tuning out with one eye the rest of us don't stand a chance lol😪. The colour is spot on and good going with getting it cheaper than your offer it's great when the diecast gods are with you. Yes eye infections are the worst I suffer with rheumatoid arthritis and had to inject myself every week with one of those injection pens. I'd say it was a pain in the ass but that's not where I had to inject it.🤣😂 Anyway one of the side affects it turns out I had to look out for was inflamed eye infections. All was ok for 3 years then my eye became inflamed and very blurry after 3 years I had forgotten all about looking out for eye infections. It got bad real quick so of to the emergency department. Lucky for me a young DR saw on my file that I had..... Ok get ready for it I'll try and write the technical name....Ankylosing spondylitis and put me on the right medication to fix it and then the specialist changed the injection. Good news I only have to inject this one every 2 week's woopie. so I know all about walking around with one eye it SUCKS BIG TIME 😜. I hope you come good soon mate and all the best to the MRS. Until next time stay safe and I'll catch you on the next one.👍

I have to go for some more tests Wednesday at the moment 1 puipel is twice the size of the other but thay said that should go once thay locate the bleed .only worry now thay say it might have bought on glycoma.
So we will have to see on that one .
It's a funny sensation waking up with blurry vision then by the afternoon it starts clearing .
      All the best martin

@@martindaredare Hi mate yes my eye went like that with the eye drops. Unfortunately I had just got some new glasses and my left eye never came back to normal. So that now has now mucked up the prescription making my new glasses useless. So I'm muddling along with my old ones until I'm shore they have settled down before I get new ones.

Martin....Thank you for taking on this project and showing the details of the aerials and everything else. I have one of these red ones and one that is the Police version. Both are missing some tires and one is missing a hub. I see you didn't end up removing the hubs so you can't help me there, but what size tires are they and does anyone sell them as replacements? I'm so lost when it comes to Dinky, Corgi, older Matchbox, etc.

Hi the tryes from a dinky ford transit will fit the size is 17mm but should be ok with the transit tryes
The wheels apparently pull off like hot wheels leaving a black plastic spacer .
Not sure were you would get a wheel from ,
      Hope this helps.

I can't make up my mind whether you are really puzzled by the word 'Parisienne'. It is a French word for a lady who lives in, or comes from, Paris, and it is pronounced Par-iz-y-en.
