Having such a massive userbase on top of the inevitable legal hurdles that will follow, should it pass, means It likely ain't going anywhere and I say this as someone who doesn't really use it, mostly because the humor and short video style format goes way over my head 😅 I find shorts/tiktok-esque vids very tedious to produce

This is probably gonna be a very long comment but here we go. On August 14th 2019 a 16 year old goldenwolf made his first TikTok ever. I didn’t know anything about the app,editing at all but I was just having fun. Almost 5 years later 3! so called “bans” were supposed to happen. the first one in October 2020 I got scared and made as many TikTok’s as possible before it “left” it didn’t happen and the app stayed then I get too around mid 2022 and for a 2nd time it was gonna happen again. and once again I created as many TikToks as possible but again the app stayed then we get to march 2023. the 3rd! Ban was gonna happen and in one month I made 65-75 TikTok’s but this is the only time I’ve ever experienced *extreme burnout* I felt my motivation go down after only 2 days grinding TikTok’s but stupidly I pushed through. I wouldn’t go to sleep without making TikTok’s till 1am some nights. Even when I genuinely didn’t want to make a new one I forced myself too. bottom line although the 3rd “ban” didn’t happen last year my motivation was dead completely and it stayed very low for a solid 9+months only until January this year did it come back higher than ever before cause I made my very own dinomask and I began grinding TikTok’s again and I enjoyed it then we get to currently. They passed the bill,everyone’s freaking out but this time unlike the first 3 times I’m honestly “okay then whatever” about this I’m not angry,upset,heartbroken I’m just totally cool with this because I have 600 followers I’ve made in total over 700 TikTok’s,met dozens of amazing furries and laughed very hard seeing many videos on there. I’ve really done everything I’ve wanted to do on TikTok and then some as the old saying goes. if you made this far melly just know we still have TH-cam if TikTok goes down forever to chat and have fun. I already know about the TikTok ban and it’s very concerning for me as a creator on TikTok that I might loose a following even though thankfully Australia isn’t really planning to follow suit. In fact, they only banned tiktok in government devices here. Thankfully. As I can really imagine what it could do to peoples income as there are creators who depend on it as their livelihoods. Because as I noticed, if the US government bans TikTok, I fear it would delete accounts and thus loose followers for those outside of US that uses this platform. For the American users and creators, I feel for you.
i think a lot of people forget that every social media app is kept alive by communities of people, and just because that app is gone doesnt mean the people using it are gone. they'll move just as they did when other social media died.

The only reason the HoR voted in favor of the ban is because a lot of them have stock in Meta and other American companies, which aren't doing as well as TikTok is.

it is very tonedeaf and childish to assume that the us news is an accurate source of info concidering what has been happening for the past 5 months. theyre actively supplying explosives to erad!cate the natives from their own land, to which the occupiers have already started selling property from. basically every claim that theyve made could and has been easily debunked. on the topic of it "spreading misinformation" its one of the quickest ways to recieve news from people DIRECTLY in the strip. id like to think its pretty difficult to fake a 3+ minute video, with audio and with context that lines up with everythign that theyve said so far. journalists who have escaped the strip have said how the situation is 100 times worse than what theyre able to share. do you think the US would go out of their way to expose that? theyre sending 30k meals of expired military food to 2 MILLION people. while giving millions of money worth of "aid" to the colonizers, consisting of weapons, explos!ves and fast food. israhell has spent MILLIONS on skits and ad campains trying to convince people that they are the victims. do you think the victims of ethn!!c clean!ng have money for that? have you seen any video come out of g@z@ that wasnt just pure agony and suffering? @@CaptainVaughn0

TikTok is a fun platform to not only upload dance video, but also cooking videos, breaking news videos that need major attention even if it’s a small town major news story weather bad or good news! & to spread awareness quickly! Also if ur sad u can always find funny videos of animals or kids doing funny stuff or something that u shouldn’t laugh at like if they trip or make a mess but it’s too funny then u think Oh Gosh darn it I’m going to HELL; well everyone get on I’m driving the bus! 🚌 2🔥😈 or if u want to make real friends or sell stuff!
