The classic models of the past till this day possess true spirit of automaking and leave bypassers speechless where ever they go. Caterham Super 7 1600: caterhamcars.com/en/models/the-iconic-range/super-seven-1600
The origins of Caterham cars are rooted deep in 1960 when the company was a major dealer of the Lotus 7 and later on acquired the rights to manufacture the model under its own name. The latest introduction within their lineup is the mid-price range Super 7 1600.
Aston Martin DB4 GT Continuation: media.astonmartin.com/db4-gt-continuation-video/
Introduced in 2019, Aston Martin DB4 GT Continuation is styled as the original 1959 DB4 GT, paying homage to its 60th anniversary. The coupe has a limited production run of 25 units, all of which are manufactured at the revived Aston Martin factory in Newport Pagnell.

Ares Design Corvette Stingray C2: aresdesign.com/car/stingray

Wami Progetto Due Ares Design: www.aresdesign.com/en-us/cars/wami-progettodue/
Inspired by the exclusive Maserati A6G 2000 from 1950s, the Wami ProgettoDue roadster is a future build from Ares Design that belongs to the company’s Legends Reborn series.

What if classic cars preserved the things we all love about them but got some of the modern features? Here are some of the most amazing restored sports cars that are as exciting (if not more) as the latest automotive releases. Which one if your favorite?

Yeah... Most of these cars are rather nice... except for the "foose E-type". What would be nice is if Jaguar had carried on with what they had been talking about and made the electric E-Type.

Nice overview. I thought the Cobra (Superformance) model was the 427, not the 289. The 289 (actually called Ace) was more slender than the 427. AFAIK Shelby sourced the 289 car chassis and bodies straight from AC in England to put a tiny 289 V8 block in them. Then the 427 was based on that but - again AFAIK - not built by AC anymore. BTW, it's always interesting in the grand scheme of USAnian feuds that Shelby wanted a GM V8, not Ford, but GM did not want to work with him.

A very good selection! In my view you missed out on the Alfa Romeo GTA-R by Alfaholics (link to my very early video of their open day) th-cam.com/video/FTt7O4oveno/w-d-xo.html .There are also a few companies such as Eagle and Evolution that do a modern interpretation of the Jaguar E Type that (in my view) looks better than the Foose version. Of your selection the Porsche reimagined by Singer stands out. Though there is now a new German company Kaege Retro is now doing well due to their use of OEM parts.

I think it's important to remember that the market has swung towards those seeking affordability and practicality, simply because the young generation are much worse off than their parents were at the same age. Young people don't buy new cars as salaries have not risen to meet the increased living costs. As for these classics, they're now the pursuit of the mid-life crisis and unaffordable for young people. How much was a new Mustang in 1967? $20k in today's money.

Dani Hildan If they restore a real Shelby Cobra from the registry, then it is a real Shelby Cobra. Only way to get a true Shelby Cobra new is from Shelby American, unless a company reproducing them has a continuation deal. Most new Cobras tend to be replicas. You can get SA Cobras in both aluminium and glassfiber. Like Caterhams they are sold both as a kit car (you or a company builds it for tiu) or as a Shelby built car (from Las Vegas). Now if the car is part of the Shelby registry it is genuine SA Cobra. Same with Daytonas and GT40s, that's the point.
So, if Superformance has the rights for Cobra and it's part of registry it is a real one. I would still buy straight from the original manufacturer.
