17:41 Not sure why the “Herkimer” can’t be used in other movies just because it’s (heavily customized) - anyone who remembers the movie Space Hunter would remember a vehicle called the “Scrambler”, also a heavily customized vehicle. Still, a few years later the “Scrambler” was slightly modified and reused in an episode of Knight Rider. There is no reason why something similar couldn’t be done with the “Herkimer”.
My in laws have had “grandpa’s old car” in their yard unused for 30 years except for the grandkids playing in it. It’s a 1955 Pontiac Star Chieftain, 50K original miles. Literally his grandma drove it to church and the grocery store once a week. My husband had it towed here at the beginning of the summer, he has redone the seats (nothing but old springs were left) and most of the interior was in amazing shape and only needed to be cleaned. Not a dent in the body, tiny bits of surface rust in a few spots -we polished all that amazing chrome, and he has gone through every bit of the engine. He took it for a ride a few weeks ago but still needs to do the brakes ❤️ he keeps his Halloween skeleton in it, her name is Tina. She has a skull in her hands named Ike...

The nice thing is that two countries succeeded to design and operate turbo-trains into inter-city service. Ghey make such a nice deep jet like noise. I used the three of them myself. Then, a joint project between the Canadians and United Statians did their own entering service in 1968 between Toronto and Montreal capable to run as fast as 270 km/h but only used at 150 km/h as the tracks did not allow faster speeds. The AEC Turbo-train was the first train to enter service with passive tilting allowing the Canadians to take the lead in that technology as 12 years later they would replace them with another train also featuring tilting but now succeeding with the only valid active tilting. Thy used the PT6, a United Aircraft engine made in Montreal and the tilting coaches were made in MLW factories again in Montreal. They also had that driver's cockpit in such manner that they looked like taken from Avro Lancaster bombers.

Comparing the "average" cost of a house in that pathetically broken economy is hardly any way to judge how expensive a thing is. Also there's this thing called inflation. What something cost before doesn't directly equal the same money value now.
So what's the average price for a 150 ft yacht these days? $40 million, maybe 50? Even at 25 million (in 2021 dollars) the original cost of that Mc Barge would be a bargain. As an Aircraft enthusiast, I'd love to see one of the Victors revived and brought back to working condition. I think it's good to keep at least one working example of historical vehicles, even if it was a rich enthusiast who has the cash to do it, so long as they get the support to get the parts made to keep it in good, working condition.
If I remember correctly, there are currently two planes from WW2 that still have their original engines. I believe one was Japanese and the other was American. I’ll try to find them
If I found that train. You better bet I’m taking a piece home… they set those tanks up like that because if there’s a conflict the enemy will think there active and hit them.

To the person below me I'm unable to reply but its always well recieved when commenters post what you did..thank you for making me smile
I grew up near active coal mines in Germany where "Schaufelradbagger" were still running. We used to go sightseeing around those occasionally. Moving those would require the closure of many roads...
1:05 Not true about the MÁV 301: Built 1911 to 1914 it was operated until 1967. So while it's true that it's more than a hundred years old, it was last used just more than fifty years ago.
I don't know why but I always get sad when I see things that got left behind....or forgotten. I wish I could have seen some of these in action...like the mac donalds ship or the speedboat thing or the turbo train. They look hella cool
You are the best 💖
Batman is one of my favorite things to watch so seeing the abandoned body's I was all " I want that." Even my mouth dropped open
Those were fiber body kits you could buy. The original ain't rotting in the woods like that
Your voice is so calming 👍
He said that the red star graveyard was mostly abandoned
I love when you make videos like this
ah yes my soviet comrade! we have concord this list with our Mechanics of war!
I like that you are putting Harry Potter edits in this video
The Sogel tanks are 25 Patton M47's and 1 Leopard, which were used as targets for anti-tank training. There is nothing secret about the now abandoned range.
Sögel. Or you can spell it Soegel if you do not want to use alt 148 for ö

I like your videos. The only problem that I have with them is that they are usually longer that that spare time I have available so many times I overlook you awesome work for something shorter that I can watch completely.
I’ll try to find them
I just realised... He meant a Nimrod
@@modestdonkey8425 That is a Victor, Nimrod are more tubular, and have straighter wings and smaller engine intakes.
@@carsofsouthernmaryland4066 19:18 I meant. Yes the 'vacant victor' is a victor
i used to watch this ever day in like 2017 to 2018
If I found that train. You better bet I’m taking a piece home… they set those tanks up like that because if there’s a conflict the enemy will think there active and hit them.
don't just take one piece take a few piece so you can give a piece to a friend here and there as well
I love how Vincent Vega makes cameo appearances in a lot of your videos.
Life finds a way
POV: Me pausing the video to get some snacks and continue the video
I'd love to buy one of the old hydrofoils and convert it into a house.
Most definitely, if I had the money I'd buy one and rebuild it
I'd buy the Ekranoplane
wow this is so cool!! Keep it going!!
