It's amazing how much this game improved over the years. My top four fighting games are:
Tekken
Street Fighter
Killer Instinct
Mortal Kombat
It almost makes me wanna cry how amazing us 90's kids had it

The thing i miss about tekken 3 is the music and how every fighter had their own stage dedicated to them like their theme.

Man this brings back memorys. My parents would never buy me a memory card so I had to beat this game every time I played it. Eventually I would get to stage 6 or 7 without losing any health. I propably spent a year of my time as a child playing this

Yeah the funny thing is that parents did not buy us ps2 memory card cuz they thought that we would play this game even more and get addicted even more with it. But in reality them not buying it made us play it even more.
That thing though, that they bought you a PSX, but not a memory card... When you have a PSX, you MUST have a memory card too. At least your case, was not as bad as mine. I came to PSX after the arcades and those had no memory cards. You just threw a coin in, and did a single run straight to the end, that lasted no more than 45 minutes. So when i bought a PSX, i didn't even know memory cards even existed. I used to play Resident Evil 2 from the very start every time, trying to reach the end, as i did on the arcades, so i was going through the streets, looking around, killing zombies till i lose. After some tries, i entered the RPD and i thought that was the end of the game, because i couldn't see anything else to do. So next day at school, i had this conversation with my friend:
-I finished Resident Evil 2. I entered a police station
-Nope, you didn't finish it. Actually you're at the very start
-What? But there was nothing else to do
-You have to find items to open doors
-So what do you mean? How long is this game?
-It's quite long. It took me a lot of hours
-How do people play such a game every time from the beginning? It doesn't make sense
-Of course they don't play from the beginning every time. They start from the save
-What's that?
-Wait. You mean you don't even know what a save is? Do you have a memory card?
-I don't even know what that is
-You have a Playstation and you don't have a memory card? Are you serious? Go buy one. You can't play games like that. With a memory card you save your last position in a game, so next time you can continue from where you left off
Needless to say, i was speechless that such a thing a existed. I bought a memory card the next day and gaming changed forever for me from that day 🤣

What I like about Law is that while he may be heavily inspired by Bruce Lee he still has his personality and gimmick.
It’s practically a staple in every fighting game to have a character pay homage to Bruce Lee. For example:
Tekken - Marshall Law/Forest Law
Soulcalibur - Maxi
Dead or Alive - Jann Lee

If only these fight screams of Forest Law were put in every game and movie where Bruce Lee was imitated. I don't know how were these fight screams made, a real human can make them or by computer, but they rock. I am glad to be able to play this game. Forest Law - the best imitator of Bruce Lee, good job Namco

Early 2000’s :’) a surprise PS1 gift from my father and a surprise Tekken 3 gift from my cousins. This game really has a special place in my childhood.

Well I did search for Tekken 3 at least but not for Law
I just remembered when youtube recommended for me
I used to play Law exactly like Bruce Lee by ducking and dodging as many attacks and reversing whilst countering with punches and kicks. I even defined ranges such as "trapping"range, short, mid, and long mirrored on Bruce's system. My fav move was his sidekick - i would add a half step to make it look even more like Bruce's kick and deceivingly cover more ground. Many people also dont know about his more slightly more powerful jab which inflicts 8% instead of 5%.
I remember playing this game for the first time on PSx in 1998 with Pro evolution soccer 98 i was sooo impressed, big switch coming from sega genesis 16bit, i never forget that moment. 😂😂

@@Disconnect350 What's wrong with the later games? Tekken Tag 2 was great. They still look fine to me. Is it because of that cheap juggle crap where it's easy to pull off combos? That's the main complaint I hear from folks. It's like you can't get some hits in. Though my number 1 favorite entry is Tekken Tag 1 for PS2 (2000). Classic. Still play it to this day. Man....memories. I stopped playing after this series...life took over. I was looking at later Tekken series and Tekken 6 has such flashy/annoying background. But, they retain a lot of moves from these old series.
