    5x-y=4
    2x+y=10
    5x+2x-y+y=4+10
    7x=14
    x=2
    5(2)-y=4
    10-y=4
    -y=-6
    y=6
    2(2)+y=10
    4+y=10
    y=6
    (x, y)=(2, 6) ❤

    After x=2 at 0.48 by elimination, substitute for x into either equation and solve for y. No need for a second elimination process. 🇦🇺

      Thank you for the sentiments. This depends on what your professor was testing; if the instructions are ’use elimination method’ then don’t mix with substitution, just eliminate one variable to solve for the other in turns
