    Welcome to the comprehensive video guide for sponsoring your spouse or partner to Canada! In this video, I will walk you through the step-by-step process of completing the Canada Spousal PR Application, providing valuable insights and tips along the way.
    To ensure a smooth application, I have filled out all the necessary forms that are typically required for the Canada Spousal PR Application. Here is a list of the forms covered in this video:
    IMM 0008 - Generic Application Form for Canada
    IMM 5406 - Additional Family Information
    IMM 5669 - Schedule A - Background/Declaration
    IMM 5562 - Supplementary Information - Your Travels
    IMM 1344 - Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement, And Undertaking
    IMM 5532 - Relationship Information and Sponsorship Evaluation
    IMM 5476 - Use of Representative
    IMM 5533 - Document Checklist
    Throughout the video, I address common issues that applicants encounter, such as who should create the online portal account, which forms to fill out, how to digitally sign the forms, how to indicate "N/A" if a section is not applicable, who can act as your representative, and how to correctly fill out the checklist document.
    Please note that this video is approximately two hours long, as I have included all the important points and tips in between. Watching the entire video will ensure you don't miss any crucial information.
    I want to emphasize that the information provided in this video is based on my personal experience. In 2021, I successfully sponsored my wife to Canada, and in 2023, she obtained Canadian Permanent Residency. Before becoming a PR, she was granted a Visitor visa and traveled to Canada on a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV). She later completed the virtual landing process.
    For more detailed information on the Spousal PR application process, along with the proofs we submitted to IRCC, please check out our playlist on TH-cam. It contains various videos dedicated to Spousal PR application-related topics.
    Here is the link to the playlist:

    Remember, this video is designed to provide guidance and clarity when filling out the IMM forms, but I am not an authorized or licensed IRCC official. It's important to note that individual scenarios may vary, so it's advisable to consult official resources and guidelines from IRCC.

      Why in some forms you right a name in the signature field and and other forms you actually sign it.
      Is there a different?
      In5532 you put a name
      In the rep form you actually signed

    Hey, sorry, but in one place, you are not right. At 52.38, you said the sponsor would be representative. I think it's not compulsory, though. Principal applicant can file by themselves without choosing sponsor as a representative.

    Thank you for this video. The application form seems to have changed. For instance, when filling in the dates, let says your job is still current, the recent forms do not allow you to write present or current, and they strictly suggest that you put a date. In this case, what do you do?

      Hello, thanks for watching. Yes if you (sponsored person) do not have any Canadian visa, you only have the option to choose the family class (outland) application, and since your partner is already a citizen, can live inside or outside of canada anytime with no such restrictions.

      Hello thanks for watching.
      1. I dont think the visitor visa is same as sponsored one. I don’t remember the exact question asked in the imm form but visit visa is just a temporary stay visa not long term like super visa etc.
      2. Fill 5 entries in the form, and create a letter of explanation and mention the form number. Section number, question number, create a table and fill the remaining entries. Or you can fill all 7 entries again. Write a paragraph that due to limited space in the form, you are adding the details here.
      You can add other explanations for your other sections if needed in the same document. Create an index to make it simple.

I am a bit confused, for the form imm 5406 'Additonal family information', it states "You (the principal applicant) must fill out this form for yourself and on behalf of any of your family members... who are not already Canadian citizens or permanent residents"... just to clarify then, in section A when it asks for "Relationship - Spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner"... since I'm a canadian citizen, the principle applicant, in this case my wife should not fill in this section with my information and instead write 'Not Applicable'?

      Your wife needs to add your details in section A, doesn't matter if you are a citizen or not.
      it only meant that, if you are a PR or Citizen, you need not to fill the whole details on your behalf separately. (you should not click on + sign to add your name too, and fill all the details again).

    At 43:51, on IMM 5562, you filled in your own travel information (as the sponsor), but at the top it says that this information is only required if you ARE NOT a citizen or permanent resident. Was this a mistake, or am I misunderstanding the instructions?

      Hello, thanks for watching.
      The letter of explanation is based on your personal situation or the circumstances so everyone will have different kind of letter of explanation for many different reasons. There is no specific format for the letter of explanation. so you just have to explain to IRCC in simple words if you’re missing something in your forms or any proofs for the application.

      I think you can just write start and end year of your diploma. They only ask start and end date, not the duration of diploma or degree.
      They ask the number of year in separate question for all of your education, like primary secondary college masters etc, you can fill 5 there because you completed that in 5 years.
      That’s my thought and suggestions, please feel free to discuss with someone else too.

    Hello! Thank you for the video. Very helpful.
    One question: I am the sponsor for my husband (legally married) we live together in Canada. We have a 13 month old baby together (born in Canada)
    I am sponsoring my husband (alone) but there is an area that asks for information for principal applicant and any dependent children even if not travelling together. Keeping in mind that our baby is not requesting PR since he is already a Canadian citizen, do I still have to add his information? Or is that only for dependents who are not Canadian citizens/permanent residents?
    Because if I add the baby, they will ask for his medical exams and such (thinking that he requires papers), but if I don’t add him, they might think that we don’t have babies together.
    Thank you! Hopefully I explained it well enough.

    Thanks.. but in imm 5562, you are sure that we must fill section B? If the spouse is the sponsor??

    • @desigeekchishi
      @desigeekchishi 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      the section states that if the Spouse is a canadian citizen or pr you do no,t need to provide it. (That means since they already live in canada or been to canada , IRCC has their travel history which u do not need to provide.)

I am the principal applicant and live outside of Canada. my Child under the age of 22 does not accompany me. She actually has a student permit in Quebec. Do I need to complete IMM008 for her ? What are the documents do I need to complete for her ? thank you some much

      You can add the additional details on separate paper. Mention the form number, section number, part number, question number etc to reference it correctly and scan this document and attach at the end of the respective form.
      Also include a brief note in your letter of explanation document that you have added an additional page to that form in order to accommodate your longer work history.
      Hope this is helpful. Please like share and subscribe :)

    • @canadadreamers_
      @canadadreamers_  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, thanks for watching. I couldn’t create the explanation video for that but you can just create a simple word document file and mention that your aadhar card doesn’t have any expiry date. So you are writing that maximum date in the form.
      Hope this helps

    Hello Canada dreamers, thanks for the clear instructions, i have a small difference with my spouse as she lives in Quebec, so i need "CSQ" is there a portal for quebec or do i need to send in postal code?
    another detail i don't have work experience but i am software engineer like your wife and i did the marriage ceremony and a lot of traveling to give good proofs, will lacking in work experience be a problem?

    • @canadadreamers_
      @canadadreamers_  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello I am not sure about the Quebec process. But regarding the work experience, it doesn’t matter for spousal sponsorship application. Even if you don’t have any work experience thats not a problem.
