I like to use my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors for stencils. I use a stiffer brush and pounce, then go back a drop a little more color in if needed. They are a little different than western watercolors...a little thicker and a little easier to control because they don't seep as much. Thanks for your video, very helpful!
Thank you so much for doing this video. It's really helpful. I'm new to stenciling and have been really confused about how to use my watercolors with them. Thank you, thank you!! ❤️
I wonder if you sprits the stencil when you are done, and put some paper down on the spritsed stencil to lift an impressionist style image, what it would look like with the layers of colors, for a separate background with that last image.
I'm do glad you are doing more You Tube videos like these. This was awesome. And it's made me think of using my creations and pencils for the stencils, then smudging to see how that comes out. Good for thought, Megan. Don't you just love hanging with your little guy? I love seeing the possibilities of the world through my grandson's eyes. Priceless!❤️
The best advice you gave was not to expect clean images right away. I'm thinking, "How hard can this be?! Why isn't my work cleaner?!" ALso, I've considered (but not yet tried) stencil adhesive spray. MANY years ago, when I stenciled on walls, there were specialized cream paints, and bristly flat-top stencil brushes. And I always used masking tape to adhere the stencil. Thanks for making this video, Megan!
I love the verity of colors in your tin. What are those? I use the prima ones, but I like the "complete" set like yours. I LOVE your stencils and am excited about the new ones coming! 😍

Thank you, you are amazing. I love the way you use your fingers to blend the watercolors. You have helped me so much. ❤
Thanks Megan, excellent tips! I'd love to meet your 5 year old son. He sounds brilliant AND amazing!
I’m going to try the acrylic paint with that dome shaped sponge tool and then watercolor the inside. It looks so cool!❤️
