My husband has CKD stage 4 EGFR of 27. His proteinuria and EGFR have improved greatly on a keto diet for the past 2 years. But I'm transitioning to the prometabolic way of eating like you and don't know whether he should do the same. He has made progress on keto and he's just started taking an SGLT2 inhibitor so not sure what his diet should be going forward. His blood sugar is stable, not going too low. What diet do you think is best for CKD? Are carbs ok for kidneys? He's not diabetic.
