Thank you so much Paul! I didn’t know Tears for Fears sang Mad World. Gone Away certainly has similar vibes to it. When I play it it also reminds me of Radioactive from Imagine Dragons! These tunes are all written in Dorian mode which give them a deep, nostalgic feel harmonically. Thanks so much again 🙏

@@mariannebouvettemusic I can assure you, the melody you played captured every moment of loss and memory that the vocal delivery.. I am now curious, as you said you just discovered this song.. Was it the Offspring original or the cover by Five Finger Death Punch? ... The later delivers quite an intense rendition as well, sort of on the same level as when Disturbed covered "Sound of Silence"
This is both uplifting and sad at the same time. Perfect for thinking of those who were once in our lives but aren't anymore. That outfit you're wearing is super beautiful, btw!
Thanks dear Matt, you are right, there is something very intense about this tune, deep, sad and powerful. I find it very cathartic to play in grieving circumstances. And thanks for complimenting my outfit, I have a new passion for gothic dresses which will likely survive post Halloween!

Thank you and sorry for the late response! The harp is tuned in Eb major. The tune is played in F Dorian mode.
Is the harp in the video the same one you recorded the song on? If so what is the model? It is gorgeous.
The harp I play in the original video footage is a heartland infinity carbon harp, but there was so much background noise that I had to redo the audio recording indoor - and the sound you hear in the final video is that of the Ravenna 34, which sounds gorgeous indeed!
