Rare $200 24 Hour Turkish MRE Review

This is a first hand look and review of an extremely rare MRE from Turkey. Based around my Moretti Outdoors 24 hour experience, I wanted to utilize just the food in this meal to see if it was gonna be enough to survive for that time frame.
I was not let down at all, however somehow I ended up with two ferik rice and chick peas with chicken instead of beef and buckwheat rice for the main dinner and I was ok with that. If I had to do it different I would have utilized the shells and the honey for the meals instead of using them just for breakfast. I didn't realize there were 4 shells.
This meal is not currently available at mre mountain.com, but maybe it will be again later in the year due to the extreme rarity of this high grade meal. I was very impressed with this particular ration and feel it was worth every penny. I just wanna clarify for those who are gonna come on here and make derogatory comments about the price of this mre. It is almost impossible to get these meals out of Turkey or anything for that matter. I have a friend from Turkey here and when she seen I had a meal From Turkey she was very shocked. These are a Civilian Ration
I live in Europe and have been to Turkey and have never come across ANY ration packs civilian or military so laying your hands on one at any price is special

Lol, in Turkey we would never put rice and chickpeas in lavaş (tortilla) so the fact that you didn’t do it is more culturally accurate!

If you've ever heard of the grain called Freekeh in English that's what's called Firik in Turkish cuisine so it's probably a blend of Rice and Freekeh.

Im saddened that you didnt try the olives. I know you dont like them but atleast try them. Turkish olives are very tasty.

As many reviews, that I have watched, doing this hobby, I do not recall this !!!! Very rare, and soon, to be even more so ! The times are changing, as we all are aware. It is A shame, that, our government, has nothing better to focus on, than foreign rations! As in any ration, some substitutions, may be made. Best guess, to substituted meal? Nice FRH'S ! Soup is hard to judge amount of water. They usually, say, to add to much. Coffee that type, for Breakfast, never seen! WOW ! I love it however. That much coffee, in that little water, Like yourself, I thought it would have been darker? Filtering twice, Smart move. The chocolate, looks dark indeed. Both should be good. Hindsight , is golden, when doing reviews. Then you think, why Didn't I think of that? We all are guilty sir. You are not alone. Great job of mixing flavors and textures friend. Nicely done.
