Good job Randy! I love the notion of a Driver school! You certainly have the prerequisites for being a top notch instructor. I'm hopeful that you are able to make it a reality. Best of luck sir!
Just subscribed a couple of days ago because I have enjoyed anything I’ve seen Randy do on TH-cam. Now I find out he’s also a Tundra guy and he lives in my neck of the woods, win win...
Hi, Ron! I’ll make ya a deal on a slightly used stock Tundra exhaust, too! Thx for watching. I love the macho rumble the truck now has. Was too shussy-silent before. Still friendly.
I agree on the quieter setting, as pulling a trailer with a louder exhaust can be a droning nightmare. Even though it sounds good running to the redline, you will spend most of your time at a steady rpm going down the highway, so adjust accordingly 😬
I cut the muffler off my 98 grand cherokee with the 5.2 V8 in order to make room for my long arm suspension. It sounded so good i never bothered to replace it. It remains quiet idling and cruising around town, but sounds mean as hell when i get into the throttle. Never really gets super loud though. I guess the catalytic converter is enough of a muffler.
The sweetness of low price is forgotten long after the bitterness of low quality remains. It is a premium product, I feel lucky to have it on my truck. And proud.
@@randypobstofficial Hey, more power to ya. Just saying, there are comparable quality systems for less (and most aren't simply glass-packed mufflers like the MF) - and most of us out here in the real world do have to concern ourselves with such things.
Did the muffler get banged up in shipping or was that something that happened during installation? if it happened in shipping, mind answering who the shipping provider was or where you bought the exhaust from? I typically buy from Summit Racing
It did arrive w a small ding in center muffler. I got the system from my friends at Borla. We go way back. UPS, maybe? Since it’s buried underneath, I don’t mind. Tips are perfecto 👍
That's hilarious how you tried to take off the welded nut. Just know there are 2 nuts like that on 2 of the alignment adjusters. 2 loosen from the bolts and 2 loosen from the nuts. Very confusing if you don't know, because they look identical.
You must be a more slender man than myself. There is no way i could fit under my 08 tundra without jacking it up. Even driving the front tires up into 8in blocks left me with barely enough room to work under there.
Hard to say, Dusty. The rumble sure makes it feel more powerful! A dyno test would say. I expect a few extra ponies at high rpm (about 3500 up in this truck engine) due to less restriction. Maybe someday? It was really for the look and the sound, for me.
Randy Pobst it was definitely worth it! I’ve always liked trucks that had dual exhaust and sounded awesome, the little extra ponies are always just an added bonus!👍
lol I could see Randy going back under and putting a cut out in. Sounds good boss!
Yeah man, sometimes that cat-only roar would feel so good! Nascar truck 🤠

Thx for watching Gregorious A Yeah, I fantastic about a chain of skidpad/autocross schools for better driving safety
I just had a borla XP muffler installed on Saturday and it's super freaking quiet.
Holy cow, randy has a tundra.
Good choice Randy. I put a Gibson dual systemon my Tundra which rusted out after a couple of years.I have a Borla on it now.

Subbed yesterday already love the channel found it watching the racing line
Wonderful! Thank you Sidious1 👍🏆
God, you have a dream life :) I want to be as happy as you are about such things when I get older :)
I’m a lucky car guy. Not a truck guy. Cept when towing. And I love towing ! Thank u
North Georgia represent!
Awesome little channel and great attitude! Thanks Randy.

I’m w u. Love the downshifts pulling up hills now tho
Was it me or did you have a dent in the muffler ? Noticed that at 11:16 of your video install fYI

Borla's are good. Too many people install straight pipes that can be heard from a mile away, this has a good exhaust note.
Good choice i have a pro x borla system in my Tundra. Thanks great video
I have a 19’ tundra TRD and a 21’ camaro SS 1LE 6spd. We have good taste lol.
How noisy is it in the cab when you’re towing a trailer, especially under load? How about at cruise when towing? Nice video by the way.
Borla is the good stuff, no doubt - made right down the road here in TN.
Problem is, they're also the most expensive, too...unfortunately.

Thanks, Randy! Great tips.
Tell borla to send a exhaust system for all your cars!
Is that corvette also yours?
We would like to see a video like this for the Camaro
Excelente video saludos desde Santa Cruz Boliva

I think he got it straight from Borla, since they provided it.

Nice job
Was hoping this was gonna be on the 1LE!
Hell yes 👍
That T shirt doh.. ✌🏽

How is the drone when hauling a trailer?
Time for a Magnuson supercharger!
Yeup! That work for towing? Long term? Hmmm. Bet TRD has a package, too
@@randypobstofficial Magnuson makes the supercharger for TRD, I'm looking into that option on my '13 Tundra.

Its obvious that you were disappointed at first …… 😂
it needs a couple of TRD stickers on the sides. :D
I like tve trd 3rd tail light
Got the sleeper look. Cept for the Borla tips and stickers now. Needs cooler wheels, right?
And set o’ Bilsteins @bilstein Bet the @ doesn’t work here on TH-cam, but whatever 😆
@@randypobstofficial yes, a nice set of "dubs", all chrome and at least 24-25 inch
Way too quiet.
I muffler delete my miata this week because if the unabomer had a miata he would have been a lot cooler. I love runonsentences.
