Also, another note: when disguising out of battle (deck preview, events), it can't disguise as Ijiraq or glitch card, but when disguising in battle, it for some reason can't disguise only as glitch card, allowing it to disguise as Ijiraq. Not sure why it is coded that way, but since it stays like this even in latest builds, I assume that's intended.
Regarding the Ijiraq not changing when you had three in the deck. I think the two flips show that its copying an Ijiraq (flip one) that was copying another Ijiraq(flip 2). So I think the mechanics are technically working
i think as you draw the ijiraq, it copies another one in the deck and impersonates it. then, when you play it, it comes down as the fake ijiraq because thats what it was in your hand, then "reveals" its self as the same fake ijiraq because the flip has to happen when you play one (flip 1), then flips again to reveal the real ijiraq (flip 1).
Not only do pelts not affect fair hand, they won't even be selected when it's the only card you could play. Also, I'd like to see more experimenting with the Ijiraq squirrels.

I found this out by an accident, when I believed a 4 attack card was the last requirement my deck was missing, simply because I did not see it when inspecting my deck. I was kind of bummed because I was already at the final map. Imagine my surprise, when I drew a curious egg and it suddenly hatched! At first, I was like: hang on... and then it hit me - it must be the Ijiraq I took just before this fight! The curious egg sees through the Ijiraq's disguise!
now you HAVE to do a run where you beat leshy with just pelts. use the ijiraq to buff pelts at campfires. transfer mantis god to your golden pelt for that golden trifurcated strike.
Hey Exxo, here’s a fun interaction I found today. If you give a Warren the fecundity sigil the rabbits will also get the fecundity buff and second Warren from fecundity will also give it’s rabbits the fecundity buff!
One other cool thing: if the Ijiraq disguises itself as a Curious Egg or another card with the Finical Hatchling sigil, it won't hatch into a hydra even if you meet the requirements, so you always immediately know what the Ijiraq is

I remember trying to test out the double- IJiraq experiment a lot of times, only to, after a LOT of time, figure out that you can't get two on your deck 😔. Also, I discovered that interestingly, Ijiraq cannot copy the Static card (or so it seems), in campfire events it will not copy it and can't be drawn as one. Which is pretty interesting, could there be other cards Ijiraq cannot copy, or is the static cards unbuffness stronger than Ijiraq?
A fun interaction I noticed with Ijiraq is with the stinky sigil. When I put Ijiraq in front of a card with the stinky sigil, that card it was copying got nerfed, but when it transformed it got its regular 4 attack, then after the card got kill it WENT UP to 5 attack. So that’s fun lol
The interaction with the amorphous sigil is literally the one reason I have been avoiding picking amoeba any time it has been a choice for me!! The first or second time I decided to use Amoeba was in Kaycee’s Mod and wouldn’t you know it, I had an Ijiraq in my deck, so I just assumed that was how the card worked and I thought it was a horribly risky pick 🤦♂️

I know this won't ever happen, but I think it'd be cool if there was a custom event for losing the Ijiraq at a campfire event. I think it might go like this, ahem... "Before you can stop them, the survivors set upon your [insert disguised Ijiraq card name]. However, before any of their blades or starved teeth can reach the [disguise name], it releases a sudden screech, and transforms into a horrific beast. The survivors, formerly bent on consuming the creature, now fall backwards, screaming at the monstrosity before them. Then, as quickly as it was revealed, the creature is gone. Fearing what the survivors may do to you if you linger, you hastily retreat, leaving them to their trauma."
In alienrock's playthrough he went to the myco with no duplicate and the myco gave him another ijiraq, so it is possible to get duplicates of this card.(although i don't know if this is patched)
I think that there is a way to get another Ijiraq without messing with the game code. If you go to the mycologiste without any duplicate and with an Ijiraq, there is a chance that they give a non-disguise Ijiraq. Maybe it has been patched, i have no idea. I saw that on Aliensrock chanel, in his playthroug of Inscriptyon, in the Ijiraq video.
If a disguised ijiraq is being buffed by a meal worm does the ijiraq keeps the buff? Also I like it how players learn about ijiraq more and more just like its a real creature. There is probably things that are still a mystery about it. And I think ijiraq keeps the sigils that comes from totems. I somehow saw a great Ijiraq yesterday. Sus video exxo
theres another softlock where if you beat the final boss and quit out, you come back to a 'map 5' which is just a blank screen and are forced to quit the run and it will say 4 bosses defeated . i got this and was so confused.
I'd love to know if you've run into this. Ijiraq copied a Corpse Maggot and when it got played from my hand thank to Corpse Eater it never flipped over and just stayed Corpse Maggot. Perhaps I was mistaken, but I'd love to know if you've seen this.
Does that mean that an ijiraq impersonating a mirror tentactle, that is played opposite a mirror tentactle card with the leader buff beside it, would it gain the initial attack buff or the net of the mirror buff too?
5:09 you explained this a _little bit_ confusing to me at first, so to anyone else that doesnt quite get it: since Ijiraq can ONLY copy cards *currently in your deck,* then Ijiraq can never disguise as a card that you drew before drawing the Ijiraq. if you draw the card, it's no longer in your deck, so Ijiraq cant disguise as it anymore.
heres a question: adding the flegeling sigil to child 13 makes it a child 14. but if u sak child 13 13 times it becomes a hungry child: so if u sak a child 14 13 times what will happen?
Fortunately, no. 5th turn in, Starvation will gain Airborne, and even if your Ijiraqs also have the anti-airborne sigil, 9th turn in, the game starts adding teeth to Leshy's side of the scale. Only way to truly have a stalemate is have 4 cards with the Repulsive sigil and Mighty Leap sigil, then one with Airborne and deals one damage. Then you'll be doing one damage every turn, and one tooth is added against you every turn, therefore you're in a true stalemate. Unfortunately it is impossible to achieve this without save editing.
Kinda makes Ijiraq the worst dupe to have in the game due to being unaffected by mycologist ngl, we should honestly be thankful it's virtually impossible to get a Ijiraq dupe. Still one of my fav cards though
Fun fact: If Ijiraq is the last card in your deck, it is always a "Squirrel", even if you have the Aquasquirrels challenge active!

Ijiraq is a fun lesson in coding chicanery and is honestly one of my favorite cards in the whole game

The ijiraq is too scared of the mycologists to dare disguise.
And you can give the ijiraq a sigil with a totem that affects the card it copied. Some fun ones are the mole and unkillable sigils

I’m a bit late but it disguises as a regular squirrel because it’s hard coded and I guess they forgot to account for aquasquirrel challenge
