    Hello mr Adam
    Im getting a used o.s b2101 and i was wondering if i could swap a new piston/sleeve/rod set from the adam drake edition engine. Is the set from your ad1 or ad2 engine compatible or do i have to get the ad1 or ad2 crankshaft to make it compatible? And if the piston/sleeve/rod set is compatible will it have better performance from the stock b2101 piston/sleeve/rod set or is it all in the crank?
    Thanks In advance
    Nik

      The AD p/s/r set is different, but it could be used in the B2102. We offer new broken-in p/s/r sets for pretty much all OS engines if needed. www.thedrakeracing.com

    I have a few Novarossi engines and i know you used to run them, Adam. The manual suggests to change the rod every 20 liters on offroad engines, is that a good guidance to follow in your opinion?

    • @AdamDrake

      The Nova rods are super durable and usually last the life of the engine in my experience with them.

    I have a Novarossi engine. How often would you change front and rear bearings?

    • @AdamDrake
      @AdamDrake  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't change the front bearing unless it starts leaking.

    I have an OS .21VG, been running it for about 8 years. The other day, I ran it too lean. The engine got really fast while driving, and then I heard a bang and it just stopped. Now it's totally seized. Is there any way to repair it?

    Damn 10 to 12 gallons on O.S engines that impressive can’t go wrong with O.S Engines made in Japan easy to start and run tune. Its how Nitros are supposed to be.

      Agree, O.S. Speed engines are incredible. www.thedrakeracing.com

    👍What about the crank shaft, can you rebuild an egine with New piston, sleeve, conrod keeping the old crankshaft ?

    • @AdamDrake
      @AdamDrake  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you do need to check the crankshaft for wear as well, but with the DLC coating from OS the crankshafts usually last a very longtime.

    Adam i really need a .28 size engine for my truggy I have a chance to get one of your signature trinity .30 engines would you say they are good for everyday running or do you think there is a better engine for what i need THANK YOU love the vids

    Good stuff Sir, question were can I find a exhaust cooler? I seen it on one of your Novirissi motor builds.

      Ebay. Although many will argue their only benefit is aesthetic.

    Before watching this video I would have swore up and down that I created my after run oil (wd+marvel) now I'm starting to think that I may have gotten the idea after reading something or watching a video..
    Oh well, the Todd turbo is still mine.
