Hi Mike, Greg from Wisconsin here. My CJV150 head is dead. During diagnosis of my condition, I pulled the head, flushed the channels and successfully replaced but still issues. So I am confident on being able to replace it. I am wondering if you sell or can direct me to OEM printhead. I see that I can either get with or without memory board. If I get with memory board do I have to go into service mode to "register" new print head? And if so, once in service mode, what are steps? I am in a rural area and service must come from 4-5 hours away so it is over $1,000 just for tech to travel so would like to attempt this myself. Any assistance would be appreciated.
The memory board is important as it is what stores the head rank. If you reuse the old memory board, it will be to the old head, and the rank is pretty important. Digiprint supplies in texas is my usual go-to.
@@reprint217 Then you recommend getting the whole head with board and ribbons? And Do I need to register it with the mimaki or is it as simple as plug and play? (excluding calibration)
Hi Mike, thanks for the great video. I just had the printhead changed on the cjv150-160. After rrplacing, the printer is asking for is asking for ink type (SS21) and then is asking to remove the ink cartridges to discharge the ink and the fill up again. I did it once and then it asks to do it again. Seems like its in a loop to discharge and fill up. Any idea what could be going on? The head was replaced with a genuine mimakiband using SS21.
Heeey Mike! Thank you for sharing your experience!!! I just spent my last dime to finally buy a digital printer that had clogged printhead Bc Mimaki replaced them under the end of the warrant. I've had this CVJ 150-75 for about a year and it's been running great! I think there was a power surge about 2 months ago that messed it up and I'm devastated bc tech support is astronomical and I'm looking at a $4000 estimate in hopes that my brand new print heads are not fried too or dried up now even though I put soulution in the capping station!!! Any change you could give me some advice of where to start? I am in the process of getting another printer that the printheads are shot on to pull parts from. I have the back off the machine and boards exposed. There are light on the 2 boards in the back behind the carriage, one is a bigger board on the right and on the left is a smaller board. Fan doesn't come on when power is turned on but lights on boards do. I would greatly appreciate any help and advice :) -Kimber

Followed all the steps but when i do the test print nothing comes out 😭 everything else was fine. Ink lines filled fine, no error codes, new dampers. Any advice

Sounds like you are trying to use the the head backwards, I've seen that work in some printers but not sure about the UF

See this was a week ago and I was on vacation for the holiday. Did you ever get resolved?
@@reprint217 not yet. Any suggestions? I'm guessing a setting in the maintenance mode changed for it to be asking for ink type, discharge and fill-up.

After ink fill up i can see ink in the capping station so i don’t think the head is clogged
