Inkbird is good stuff! They sent me one a few years ago and I love it. The one I have is a simple digital outdoor min/max thermometer I can monitor on our I phone

The gateway connects the humidity-sensor to the internet. On its own, the humidity-sensor is isolated and you can only access the information via Bluetooth, which is highly limited in its range (think of an antennae sending out signals - the further away you get, the weaker the signal) By hooking up the humidity-sensor to the gateway, the gateway can take the information and upload it to the internet (which is why it needs your wifi password) - once the information gets uploaded via the gateway, you can access it just like any other website, effectively eliminating any distance-related issues. The only catch is that the sensor and gateway themselves need to be in close proximity, so that the bluetooth signals can actually reach the gateway for uploading.
I have followed you for some time. I just built my first greenhouse. It isn't a large one. 8x16. I live in SW Washington state. Can you give me any tips on how to a set up my limited controls? I have cattleya, phals, oncidium, vandas, bulbophullum, a few paphs and phrags, a few dendrobiums. I know they don't all need the exact same things. Please help
You need to buy two separate devices to use it? No thanks... if they just integrated the two and charged more it would be good, but I dont want to deal with two different devices...
I have just done a video spree of all your older videos and the UHL chamber was in one of them, they have grown sooo much!!!

Wow! No wonder my nepenthes over the years only grew like weeds...but rarely made big traps. Even in FLA. heat/humidity.
Yes, could be the humidity
Do you have an update on the life of the battery powered sensors?
Did you need both. I have the little square and it won't work
Thank you !!!
Your welcome :)
How does the gateway help with distance?

0:33 why your instagram logo look weird?
Not sure, I’ll have to look. Old logo maybe?

You can use just the Bluetooth, he did explain that.
On Amazon they sell a new one that is just one unit. No extra device/hub needed. It has wifi built in ! looks neat !
