Im not going to support a company that steals money from players because they cant cut it on their own. I hope you succeed, but I hope relic collapses. They stole 80 dollars from us console players in the promise of DLC for a 40 dollar game. If they give me a premium code for the game that gives me 80 dollars worth of DLC, Ill reconsider.
I absolutely understand the frustration, Sig. It is such a bummer for the console community. Especially because the game had a lot of potential and played surprisingly well on a controller. Are you playing multiplayer or single player?
@@SargeGG Yea my friend was always putting a good fight even tho i consider M&K way better, he had a good grisp of how to make controller work and i respect him for that because it is not my cup of tea aha

honestly, it seems like the console edition existed because the publisher wanted a greater audience, but it kind of hurt the game
Yeah, I agree stranger, they were trying to cast a wide net and target a new audience for the franchise. However, the game had a bad launch and I was not expecting Relic to go independent like this. Unfortunately, it’s the console that takes the biggest hit.

To put the Kibosh on console support is criminal. Not to sound hyperbolic, but this should be investigated. They sold a game, while promising support and a long roadmap. The only reason I bought it when it was in a crappy state, was because they promised to fix it. The least they could have done, was to leave it in a functioning state. The game is still freezing and crashing.

Just reading this now and really sorry to hear that cryptic. I was very disappointed in the news as well. As there are not very many RTS on console, I was hoping this would be different.

At this point while I love rts games and loved coh 3. Relic can bite my ass even if I scrounge up the money to get a pc. Just like Starbreeze when they pulled this kinda thing with Payday 2 on consoles.

Wishing you the best man, COH 3 is a great game now, DAK hunter is a good players on big team games, but I personally prefer the 1v1, 2v2 scene it is where the grind your way to the top matters the most imo

I kinda late ahah, its fun to know your back story on how you found out the genre and congradulation for your work opportunity.
We have a group on console and when they announced the end of console support everybody was mad as hell and they all mostly stopped playing and change games, its kinda sad even tho i wasnt playing in a team with any of them, i was always fighting them, learning how to fight them or just talking about meta changes.
I bought a pc 2 week ago and i just bought CoH3 tonight, played 2 matches but it kinda feel weird because on console we werent like hundreds of player playing at the same time but you would always be fighting people that know how to play and that's is not the feeling i had tonight. + we were a few patches late on console so its hard to way on this version which units are strong and which has become weaker.
Well i hope to see you back soon enough, in the meanwhile i can't wait to see shark and everybody play to try to get a few more tips aha
Hey Alpha, I really enjoyed reading this post, it’s interesting to hear your experience on console and transition to the PC version. I’m really happy you were able to make the switch because it would be such a bummer to lose players like you. But yeah, you make a good point, the PC player base is much larger but there is also a much larger skill gap between players as well. At least, you will have time to learn a whole new meta game and develop your skills on the mouse & keyboard at the same time.

@@SargeGG Luckly for me i was already playing M&K so only the meta change is required ahah, a few players from our group are currently buying PC one by one so at least PC version will have a bit more player, thank you for the discord i'll be sure to join the community! Also you will have new battlegroups to test out when you'll come back so indeed you'll have plenty to look forward too!
I love COH3, but the game balance sucks. Dingo and rangers are way too OP, especially rangers anti infantry and tanks and everything at the same time, so frustrated. Even you have MG for them they can use early game advantages (save a lot of ammos for aoe) to wipe them out.

Wish I could use a controller on my pc just more comfy and control personally also my game lags insanely bad on the Home Screen for some reason but gameplay is fine
Yeah, playing with a controller is pretty comfortable and especially when you’re sitting on a couch playing on a big screen TV. It’s a great experience but PC is great in its own way as well. I highly recommend making the transition to PC if you can!

Agree with your assessment regarding the news. As far as i know its a different company that handled the console updates and that company may very well be SEGA property which would make further collaboration difficult. But such a bummer for the console folks.
I also think the future is bright for the pc version. If we look at player stats, there was quite a large retention of players after the free weekend ended. During european prime time (9 pm-ish) there are like 3500 players compared to 2500 prior to the free weekend 😀

But yeah, such a bummer, and I think you’re right - seems like the departure from Sega forced their hand. It’s really unfortunate. Especially because the PC version is starting to pick up steam, as you mentioned, the player base is growing. 3500 players at 9pm European time is solid and a big improvement. Relic just needs to keep producing content and improve their revenue stream, expanding the game and hopefully bringing in the COH2 players currently sitting on the sidelines. I also hope console players make the transition to PC overtime, would be the best case scenario.

@@SargeGG appreciate it Sarge! There is a real negative sentiment from the console community. I think time is needed before we decide to spend more money after being let down by sega/relic etc.

Yeah I think as well some of the guys I play with might not be able to transition as easily as I can so again a bit of a catch 22! Hopefully something new comes out and scratches that itch!

There should of never been a Console edition that's why this game is failing because they're trying to make it playable for console the gameplay feels like you just spam your units to the middle and let them fight in automatic zero strategy needed
Yeah, I see your point, they definitely stretch themselves too thin and tried to do too much. The launch of the game was definitely rushed.
