Feel grateful to have been blessed to have met him in multiple occasions yet feel unlucky to not have known/be aware about his greatness. I will always live in regret that I couldn't take in more of those precious moments that my foolish younger self got to witness.
I'd like to share a brief anecdote my father told me. In one of the early Nyingma Monlams, amidst the prayer ceremony, he noticed a familiar figure in one of the corners praying. During the break he discovered it was Rinpoche with his attendant. He requested rinpoche to join the sangha, to which Rinpoche refused. Undeterred, my father spoke to a khenpo there and asked him what kind of lama is Yangthang Rinpoche? Khenpo replied by saying he's very revered and spoke highly of him. Pointing towards Rinpoche, my father revealed his presence. Aware of Rinpoche being there, lamas approached Rinpoche, requesting him to join the sangha to which he reluctantly agreed. As they prepared a seat and tended to his needs, Rinpoche, on his way remarked to my father, "You naughty fellow." P.S. There are a few more of them.
Wow, even he doesn't now what country iraq kuwait just as seen tv report in war, he just rush to pray for better world ... I'm really touche as stupid ego war again in middle East I think we must pray for the victims. And may peace and harmony in world .

I still remember the warm feeling of Rinpoche's feet when I touched them with my forehead at Namdroling Monastery.
