Right turns can be tricky at times, but if they're planned correctly, it can be a breeze. #dot #automobile #truckerswisdom #safetyfirst #truckingproblems #trailer #trucker
Oh and another thing, USE THAT AIR HORN.. Let everyone in town know you’re about to do something, they may not know what but they’ll be alert to YOU. Even as a rookie, I’ve had ZERO trouble with small towns because I make intentions clear
Best thing for a driver is signal in advance(for the cars behind you) then take that left(oncoming) lane. They always see traffic is blocked, then you can button hook without even having the traffic back up. It doesn’t work 100% though because some cars behind will still try and creep up on you so you have to block them. And if you block them, the turn will be shallow.
Just got my class one. First: set up correctly so stage your turn before u turn. Split the lanes (use left lane and the right) then look to see if it’s available and clear on the other side if u need to use the opposite lane (oncoming)stay on the oncoming for a few seconds until your rear tire has cleared the apex of the sidewalk corner to close the turn into your lane. 😊 this is called a 4 lane turn

Great point! As long as they can hear, it just might save someone from getting hurt. Thanks for that, and I'm going to pin it.
Very helpful.

Great info! Those turns can be dangerous in many ways. Keep up the good work!
Agreed! Could be dangerous for the truck driver and others around. Thanks for your comment, and I wish you the best.
Cool stuff...thanks
You're welcome!

Excellent!! The 4 lane turn will work fine as this type of scenario calls for it. Congratulations on your class one and I wish you the best!
That's what I'm talking about 👍
Thomas! My friend, I'm going to call you this week. Thanks for the comment. I wish you the best.
