I have a base model 2018. It's pretty much the same car. I use it as a work car and I'm racked up to 106k miles and it still runs like I bought it yesterday. So it's a reliable car that I would recommend.
Imo I would go for the equinox for the on/off Awd and the non Cvt transmission. Depending on how you drive the 1.5 can be pretty good since it has a lot of torque (imo too slow, but so is the Subaru except the ascent) but it is a newer engine so it hasn’t been tested 100% but they seem to be a lot better than the past Gm 4cyl.
Piece of junk had to pick one up in the middle of the street engine cranks didn’t fire up electronic emergency brake stuck in the on position 2021 equinox rental vehicle only 2000 miles on it not a good deal piece of crap American car I’ve been in the Towing business long enough to know what switch cars are piece of crap and this is one of them 17 years to be exact
In cold weather it freezes up quits go to low power mode it has beennjn the job numerous times driving highway and it just wuots take days to dethaw junk car files a compensation claim withGM there were 13 of these cars waiting to thaw out in the dealer gerbage

In this company there is no customer service, the company's management does not care at all, if you have a problem or a malfunction, you can only pray to God there is a chance that the help will come faster. GM is a very dangerous company, be careful and keep your money safe.!!!Share so more people don't get screwed.
Absolute garbage comment by a competitor that spews nonsense and misinformation. As with any car company, and especially their dealerships, GM cares about your business and they offer service equal to the best if anything goes wrong. GM has come a long way since the days of planned obsolescence. They truly care about their customers. Besides, the American auto worker is the best in the world and they have as much pride in their work as any other assembly line worker. It's a tough job for tough people. So... Don't listen to garbage comments that make huge sweeping accusations without any evidence or facts. Every car manufacturer produces a lemon now and then, even the most premium car companies. So, don't be delusional thinking that Americans can't build great cars. We were not the first to invent the automobile but we were the first to make it affordable for all rather than make luxury toys for the ultra-rich.
@@metaspherz We have owned several GM vehicles over the years and I can personally attest that they are going downhill. We currently have a Suburban, which is considered the top of the Chevrolet SUV models, and there is a known cracked dash issue that GM refuses to acknowledge. There is even a Facebook group called "07-14 GM Cracked dash safety hazard for all trucks" with 10.2K members...which proves it isn't just a fluke of an issue or lemon, if you will. When you spend $70k plus on a vehicle you should not deal with cheap materials like plastic dashes that crack and faux metal door handles that chip off and cause sharp pieces you can cut your hand on.

2.0 equinox? Also what model Subaru

This suv is underpowered for the price.
