you are welcome... I do think rideshare is not economically viable anymore.... the payments from Uber are not much more than half what they were a year ago.... if gas goes up like I may, it is really over... but good luck whatever you do
Dang that is confusing!! Thank you so much for sharing this video. I am a new Uber driver in the Seattle area and I would’ve never understood this unless I saw a video about it. Thank you.
Thank you SO MUCH! I got two rematches yesterday, and tried following the uber map routing, and it was absolutely a JOKE. Went into the general parking area on both attempts; First time I just gave up and canceled the ride. The second time I managed to make it to P3, but was on the wrong side of the barrier. Now I KNOW where to go. (Although it will probably mean the PAX will have to wait another 15 minutes, since the rideshare route was backed up past that Stop signs going into the garage.
I wish I watched your video first before I do my first pick up. It was so confusing, the signs are so small and it was so dark in the parking lot. The ramp where you go up, road blocks weren't there and it made it look like a 2 way fork 2:26. I ended up on the taxi places because of it and it happened that the passenger was very close. The staff said load and get going quick but then another staff came over and said I'll get a citation. She had an attitude even though when I was telling her this is my first time picking up someone. Hope your video get's out there and help drivers who's new to this airport.
awesome video, thanks for the info. been driving for lyft for over a year and always shut off when I get close to the airport drop off because I was too confused on where to go for the pick up.
Sometimes you have to tuck your nads between your cheeks and let out a big fart just to stimulate yourself in order to accomplish these things! Great video!
At 1:32 you missed the PURPLE sign that says 'REMATCH" right under the huge white background sign you drove through. That was very key information you should have mentioned in the video. Thanks for making this video though.
Appreciate you doing the video! Quick question, if you don't mind. Do you need to go to the waiting area, off the International, and then go to the Seatec once you get a request. Or can you just go the the uber area, (as in the video,) and wait for a request there?
You have to have a vehicle that gets 45 mpg to be able to sit at the waiting area and get rides out of the airport. The King County Taxi / TNC website explains the requirements. What bothers me, is even though I DO NOT have such a vehicle, the app will tell me to go there. However, if you do not have a 45 mpg vehicle you will get " rematch " rides out of the airport when you take rides in. Not always, but often . the strategy I use is end the trip just as you get to the beginning of the drop off area, and take you time dropping your ride off, then take your time leaving, it gives more time for a " re match "....
@@MetalTeamster I would say interesting technic with the drop off early as you get there. However, this kind of screws the guys/gals that are waiting on the lot I think. I did not yet have my TNC and I dropped someone who worked at the airport at the bus stop on hwy 99 and I got a request to pick someone up at level 3. I called and told them i did not have the proper documents yet and that I would cancel the ride. They seemed understanding, but why would they even permit this if I did not even have a TNC on the documents. Seems silly to me.
As everyone else has said THANKS just picked up my TNC today and it is good to see how do do this just in case. Now you have one for coming from the queue lot? ;-) I assume it is similar and hopefully marked well.
@@MetalTeamster Just bought a 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid 48/48 so I am good. Just wondering if working the airport is worth it. I see large queues most times. Usually I work 4-6 hours a night in the Tacoma area.
Hi @Metalteamster. Today is my first pickup i faced lot of challenges what exactly you mentioned in the video. Unfortunately I dont get any request when i waited in the rideshare place almost more than 20 minutes( Green area 3rd floor). I asked some other driver he told me to go and wait in other parking lot you will get request then you have to come 3 rd floor to pickup passenger. Please guide me where to wait to get ride request from passenger. I believe green area is not the place to wait to get new request. Thank you
First, you must have a vehicle that gets 45 mpg or more, to wait for a pickup. If you don’t, you will only get a rematch during busy times. I always tried to drop people off as slowly as possible to give myself the most time for that to happen
Thank you for sharing the info! People like you are actually traning and guiding drivers better than the Rideshare companies.

Do a search on the king county website..it is there

@@MetalTeamster Today when I entered the queue Lyft sent a text stating 40+ MPG or better and TNC decal

Helpful but I’m personally trying to find a video on the waiting area for Uber/Lyft. :/

pogiguy05 you cannot get rides from the queue unless you have a 45 mpg vehicle. Yet the app tells you to go there. I have no clue, they don’t either

pogiguy05 remember ....Tacoma per mile is almost 30 cents less. I avoid Tacoma when I can. Yes , airport rides are good
@@MetalTeamster Enlighten me so your saying the pay is lower in Tacoma per mile then. No wonder why I feel like the only driver out some nights.
pogiguy05 yes, check your trip pay
