Mike, wow!!!! I was needing this information and you popped up. Fellow sketchup instructor, here. Met you long ago! Hope all is well. Thanks for the great info!
Absolutely amazing man. I am working on a project right now where I need to get rid of the stucco down to sheathing and this is just perfect. I never thought we could do such complex work on walls. Thank you so so much for this.
@@iftekharkhan8879 As far as i understand He did it in right way because air space has no physical appearance graphically in plan or section view and in reality also we can not demolish air space and that's why he excluded it.
Hi there Mike. I find your videos really helpfull and they give solutions to specific problems that other tutorials don't touch. Keep up the good work. If I could only ask for a little less over-excitment and maybe a slightly faster pace in the presentation (please do not take this in an offensive way).
You know there is a little box on your right where is says parts visibility and you can choose there if you want to show original, parts or both. That way you avoid the tab/selecting .
Hi sir ...how r u ...sir when i created a new wall in new construction phase ....it's shows none of the created elements are visible in this floor plan...
I don't usually break a wall into PARTS because of the all the extra work it requires to keep things visible and organized. :o It's a great feature, but only use it sparingly when you absolutely must.
23:39 - "Work with me here..."
That's kinda the antithesis of Revit...which is why I'm here, of course! Thanks for such a great demo.

Hello ..hi....i want to ask one thing why he excluded that air space wall instead of just demolished...

Thanks!!! I forgot about that toggle!!!!
thanks from lran
Can we do this for roof and floors as well?
If it was a 90 degree wall and you changed one side, would the wall join tool work correctly?
Excellent ....What about floor sir..how we can the same thing in floors ???
At 11.30 why u did not demolish air space ..instead of picking excluded option ....thanku sir
We need phase filter for this ???
Hi sir ...how r u ...sir when i created a new wall in new construction phase ....it's shows none of the created elements are visible in this floor plan...
Plz reply sir
The Phase Settings are tricky. In the New Construction phase, you need to have the Phase Filter set to Show All or Show New.
Why u exclude the air space instead of demolish air space ....??
But when i put window it's attach to parts also and in new wall also...

Why u exclude that material instead of demolished...thanku sir
You don’t have to do so much for hiding original wall. In view property box, in show part property, just select show parts, in place of show both.
I noticed that AFTER I made the video! You are so correct! I hope people read this comment! Thank you so much!
Yeah i read this comment , Thank you
A great tutorial, but also a case-study in how un-intuitive and clunky Revit is.
