No secrets is definitely a sign of scamming. Mapping cases is pretty easy now, so pretty much everyone can do it. This is a big red flag from the seller
Technically, you don't have to be doing anything that complex. It'd be easy to open each box until you find the secret rares and then sell the rest to get some of your money back. One of many reasons no one wants expensive cards is that it promotes such things from the less scrupulous.
The boxes are mapped, not the cases. You just open a box pull out the secret slots and sell the rest as loose packs. That is why it is stupid to buy loose packs unless they are blister packs.
These packs are most likely the remaining packs from a succesful opening. They have probably gotten all the secret rares before opening the other packs and thus sold them as single packs.
This was depressing to watch. Been playing Pokemon and Yugioh since they both came out, and I legit think mapping boxes is scummier than resealing. No one can seal perfectly. You know it's a reseal within moments and immediately know you got screwed. Mapping leaves the garbage packs, giving you hope for a card you want for your deck or to sell, and that hope fades over hundreds of packs, realizing these packs are secondhand. I love the cards, but people have made these games unenjoyable. It hurts my soul.
Its like that everywhere ... Whatever people do they try to get the best of you and take maximum value for as much as they can. Once you hand over your money they dont care what they leave you with. Of course if there is an easy way to find key cards within a specific box and there are ratios , then its common sense to avoid buying anything that is not sealed.
depending on the value of the chase cards, it can also make financial sense to open packs at random until you pull good and resell the remainder (since it's guaranteed to be a dud). it's one of the unfortunate consequences of having box ratios.
Well how about you just dont buy random lose packs periodt? Doesnt matter if the seller is trusted. You could easily be scammed. Maybe not on purpose but still. Also you have fixed ratios in a complete box. So thats also a bit of a gamble
I remember back in the early days of Yugioh, we use to do the mapping. As soon as a new set came out, we would go to the shop and buy the 4th pack down on the left side. It was always the secret rare. Just had to hope is was the right one.
Once we figured out customers were doing that I started shuffling the packs when setting out a new box, randomizing it to the point even I didn't know where the secret was. Then they went back into the box. This was made clear to the customers and sales increased since they knew they really had a chance to pull a foil.
This makes me so mad. Buying packs is all about the random chance of finding something awesome, and the excitement of that. These scammers completely ruin that for people, just because they want to be greedy and profit as much as humanly possible.
Can someone explain mapping secrets? So no more loose packs is the move? I honestly stopped opening sealed since the qcr’s started. Open a few packs here and there but no more than like 4-5 packs. Seems smarter for me to just by the cards I want.
tl;dr Mapping means every pack in every single box that has the ultra/secret is ALWAYS gonna be in the same exact spot in EVERY single box. (12 packs on each side, so we'll say...packs 4, 8, and 12 will ALWAYS have ultra, ultra, secret. So people grab the bottom pack from each side of the box, and thus they keep BOTH secrets and then sell off the rest which are now worth jack shit)
Did you just tell people not to save money and cancel a, say, $400 order to get the same thing at $200 somewhere else? Like, I understand your reasoning, but people need to save themselves money. Inflation's bad enough without trying to guilt people into paying more money than needed on overpriced cards.
Why would you buy sealed product from anybody random online anyway? Just buy your cards from an OTS LGS since they have an actual reputation to uphold, not just to you the consumer, but to the companies providing them the cards in the first place. Ideally one that specifically also doesn't sell singles so they have no reason to do this to you either.
There's no way that you would normally not pull a single secret out of that many packs, definitely looks like the seller's nabbed all the secrets/QCR's and sold the leftovers. This is why I never buy single packs online, although I would pick up individual blisters from stores as those have been quite ok so far, with decent pulls from time to time...
Bought sleeved packs from Target in person about a year ago now and they were all resealed. Either the cards were completely gone or it was just all commons. My Target no longer takes returns for cards, idk why the hell they ever did take returns.
Not always some sales people are.bad and if they cancel on you for a good set when a set is bad why not cancel your own order to get back at them lol. That's karma
Where I live the head office for big box stores opens the boxes and sends loose packs to the stores throughout the country. Which means you can have wild hits but also crazy misses. I remember with Legendary Duelist Magic Hero I brought 6 loose packs pulled The Dark Magicians, Magician Souls and 2 Soul Servant's. 4 ultra's off 6 loose packs was insane. Then with Brothers of Legend from the same store I brought 10 packs and pulled nothing of worth. Im abit iffy tho with loose pack sellers online though
@davidorgeson5449 its far safer when you buy sealed stuff, i think ebay guarantees to refund your money if you report to them that the package has been tempered with, ofc you will need to prove it like filming the opening etc
Insanely wild! I had bought 4 boxes or 16 packs, got 3 secret rares and 1 QCSR. I was on the hunt for Light and Darkness Dragonlord, got the QCSR, I was soooo stoked as I thought impossibility. Also pulled an UR of it too, lol. Which, because I thought I wouldn't even see one, I bought an UR off eBay, just to be sure lol (before buying the boxes). The secret rares were White Forest monster (Elzette and Astellar). Which were also pretty decent rares. I would be pretty devastated opening that much sealed and having that happen!
I've never gotten a secret from a loose pack. Definitely want to stick with blisters if you really want single packs. I think even if the sets aren't mapped perfectly the secrets are usually mirrored so you open one side find the secret than pull it from the same pack on the opposite side and sell the loose packs
I'd say to let people know who the seller was so they can avoid them, unfortunately this seems like the rare situation where they got scammed and that scam was past on. Just an all around sucky situation
For anyone who wants to watch a pack opening video without talking, this channel isn't for you and lemme tell you that hearing Ruxin talking while opening packs is one of many reasons why his videos are so funny and entertaining.
Some people already say it, but is true, no secrets after several packs is a bad Signal, knowig of curse, that today is more "easy" to pull secrets even being a good one or not.
1/12 for a secret rare. Out of 100 packs the chance of that not happening is 0.0019% or 19/1,000,000. Wish you could call out scammers but... defamation laws >:(
Except this clearly isn't defamation? He has proof that he opened all these packs, and got ZERO secret rares. Yet got the standard 17 ultra rares (4 per box, 16 per 4 boxes (96 packs), got lucky with the last four packs having one). That's not defamation to call the OG seller of these packs a scammer, because they are 100% a scammer. So whoever these packs originated from, that then got passed down to the seller that Ruxin got them from, they clearly mapped/scaled all the secrets, kept those packs all to themselves, and sold off the garbage. Can't claim defamation there when you got caught red handed.
@@vgmaster02 Actually depends where you are. In Japan defamation covers anything that negatively affects a companies reputation even if it is true. In the UK it would depend how you word it...."xyz supplier is a scammer"... you are getting sued. I believe xyz supplier is scamming" you are likely fine. The video above ishighly suggestive they are scamming but it isn't quite proof. As above comment stated 19 in a million chance of this happening legitmately... thats significantly better odds than winning the lotto and yet people do win the lotto.
I'm not a fan of buying loose packs in general. You just never know. Got my first Pokemon Silver Tempest booster box from SassyOtto, and pulled the Alt Art Lugia on the first box (most expensive card in the set) My first purchase off him, and I've been trusting him ever since.
i honestly would by from sassy but theres 1 issue. hes on ebay and in the USA. the shipping ends up being nearly the price of the item itself and thats just... way too much.
Hmm, before watching the video, I'd say it's hard to map the secrets in INFO since they're randomised as far as I know. You can map the ultras though since those are always in the same spots (I've done that with a couple sets before, INFO included...) but the secrets in the latest boxes have been put at random and I wasn't able to find a real order. Of course, I might be wrong, but I think that should be the case. Still, that's why it's so hard to buy lose boosters... too big a chance to get scammed!
Before watching: PRAYING FOR NO SCAMS! YOU GOT THIS RUXIN! GET THAT SHIELD! also I opened 500 packs of QCR Bonanza on YGOPro and got a QCR Blue-Eyes in under a hundred packs :0 (Edit: I got 2 more in the rest of the 500 packs, there's no way 😂😂😂)
I wont be buying loose packs unless its from a display that looks new at the card shop or freshly opened. Buying sealed boxes is just so much more fun.
I was pretty hopefully in pulling some nice stuff, but I didn't pull anything worth the price I've spent on the retail packs on this set. -$15 from what I've spent.
I never buy loose packs,I hardly even buy sealed product any more but I've never been scammed buying singles or other wise this sucks I'd let the seller know there selling junk
I actually got scammed by Best Buy, idk who they buy their product from but I saw 3 bonanza boxes and got them for Black Friday and when I opened them; ALL the packs were opened from the bottom and I opened them and they had what would potentially be the hits with non holo cards from the latest TINS. they were resealed 😭
Honestly, if you really don't care about rarity, then it's sometimes just worth it. Although I really do wish Yugioh did go back and do some more draft style sets. That again, I think a lot of people nowadays wish that they would just do an official alt format. s I'm aware of the older retro formats, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be nice for a few other options.
Had someone cancel a blue eyes today for $20. He had already paid and I had the card ready to post until he messaged saying he wants to cancel cause he’s found a better price💀💀💀
It looks like your trusted seller sent you the retail version instead of the youtuber pack lol
Now thats a funny comment
💀💀
It's depressing how believable this is.
No secrets is definitely a sign of scamming. Mapping cases is pretty easy now, so pretty much everyone can do it.
This is a big red flag from the seller
Can booster boxes be mapped right now?
Technically, you don't have to be doing anything that complex.
It'd be easy to open each box until you find the secret rares and then sell the rest to get some of your money back.
One of many reasons no one wants expensive cards is that it promotes such things from the less scrupulous.
The boxes are mapped, not the cases. You just open a box pull out the secret slots and sell the rest as loose packs. That is why it is stupid to buy loose packs unless they are blister packs.
I had displays with 0 scrs and displays with up to 5.
These packs are most likely the remaining packs from a succesful opening. They have probably gotten all the secret rares before opening the other packs and thus sold them as single packs.
Truth, I bought 2 packs of Yugioh on TCGplayer and it didn't have anything good lmao. Not even a super rare.
Either they scammed you or Evil Ruxin 35 opened 8 secrets from his 100 loose packs on stream
Ruxin35 confirmed
This was depressing to watch. Been playing Pokemon and Yugioh since they both came out, and I legit think mapping boxes is scummier than resealing.

Looks like they mapped out the secrets and left the rest. A lot of stores and sellers do that which is why I never buy loose packs
This is why you never buy loose packs. They are always going to be mapped/scaled/tampered with
Fact, I bought a few packs with my store credit on TCGplayer and that was a big waste of money
The fsct that they’re loose says to me that the seller opened packs until they got the secrets and then set the rest aside.
In a parallel universe 43nixuR is opening these packs and every single card is a Millennium Shield.
this is why buying loose packs is always a bit scary
depending on the value of the chase cards, it can also make financial sense to open packs at random until you pull good and resell the remainder (since it's guaranteed to be a dud). it's one of the unfortunate consequences of having box ratios.
Yep this is why I hate buying loose packs, even from stores in person it’s a bit iffy sometimes
Well how about you just dont buy random lose packs periodt? Doesnt matter if the seller is trusted. You could easily be scammed. Maybe not on purpose but still. Also you have fixed ratios in a complete box. So thats also a bit of a gamble

3:31 😂😂 that sounds like sleep paralysis
Sounds like the dream could make for a funny April fools video where you mime everything

Can we exploit this as a meme? 😂

You should do an entire pack opening but not say a single word for April fools day , bonus if it's an expensive opening 🤣
There's no way that you would normally not pull a single secret out of that many packs, definitely looks like the seller's nabbed all the secrets/QCR's and sold the leftovers. I love the self awareness haha. I think that’s the hallmark of a veteran creator and it brings this humanity to people online that’s nice to watch!!
better to get boxes for opening like this
Till u be like me and get a potentially resealed box
@davidorgeson5449 its far safer when you buy sealed stuff, i think ebay guarantees to refund your money if you report to them that the package has been tempered with, ofc you will need to prove it like filming the opening etc

Reasons why I only buy sealed except a couple of vendors I know are legit and have pulled good things from consistently.
The Sassyotto code isnt working anymore. Was it for pre-orders only?
I try not to buy loose packs because of this. I have trust issues. Too many dishonest sellers.
6:08 that’s pretty smart tho
I've never gotten a secret from a loose pack. Definitely want to stick with blisters if you really want single packs. Apparantly a lot of people have mapped info lots of sellers selling mapped packs but at least they made that clear there are no secrets
What a bad luck, wow.
It’s not bad luck. He got played

I mean ive seen x-ray and weighting a lot of the time. Then people buy the case, then sell the packs afterwards (in loose packs) fot what they needed
So sorry that happened, sucks :(
Hyped for a signed giveaway!!
Damn that is rough, definitely mapped :(
Before watching: PRAYING FOR NO SCAMS!
The core sets are usually always mappable. So this was a bummer
Scamming practises on yugioh are quite common from shops.
From the last time you did think so why I'm so sceptical of buying lose packs even modern packs sad ppl scam ppl
That sucks that people can’t be trusted with yugioh packs 😢
Hey ruxin, just sent you a package to your fan mail today, some neat stuff in there I think you’ll like! Should be there around the 4th!
they can scan packs and see whats in them now with a CT scan. Easy to take what has secrets and set the rest aside for sale.
Can Korean yugioh packs be mapped too? Cuz I’ve opened a lot of Korean Lob and haven’t pulled a secret
That sucks! Gotta be careful these days
That’s so crafty scheming on selling mediocre packs. This is why Sassyotto is the top tier of our day and age.
without it being reslead packs, i have no idea how they would get just the secret rares
This is exactly why you don’t buy loose packs. Buy local and buy boxes
A signed copy of the best card in the deck?! Sorry Ruxin :,(
I am always paranoid that sellers would do this - I guess still some bad eggs out there
If Sassy sells his cases for 1$, i may consider the shipping costs, ruxin ignoring not us countries is at 5,8795 times now.
And how these things can be mapable? Like some internal intel from some leaker?
I was pretty hopefully in pulling some nice stuff, but I didn't pull anything worth the price I've spent on the retail packs on this set. -$15 from what I've spent.
I never buy loose packs,I hardly even buy sealed product any more but I've never been scammed buying singles or other wise this sucks I'd let the seller know there selling junk
Only trusted seller for these...
I’m always nervous about buying individual packs.
Maybe someone who works there.. doubt they would get them shipped to the store like that but not positive, that sucks man
Reselling successful opens with no more hits hurts the soul
this is what happens when you open packs off camera hahaha
I have had a lot of scammers when I purchase online now days
This is why I buy trading card packs in person at retail stores
I like to believe people are good and wouldn't do that....but it's giving scam.
I dont know, buying loose packs is always a risk.
i'd don't think i would ever buy loose packs
Was INFO a map-able set?
First time I've seen your channel it just popped up on auto-play stg thought you were leon hart for a sec
Usually people pull the secret and then sell the rest....lol
You should buy a couple of booster boxes and confirm if it is possible to map them.
You may have got the leftovers from boxes that had the secrets pulled, stay safe out there Ruxin!
Sorry about that, Ruxin. I've only been scammed before in videogames, but I know how bad it feels.
And how they do it if they are not legit?
what does mapping cards mean?
the ratios do seem strange
Had someone cancel a blue eyes today for $20. He had already paid and I had the card ready to post until he messaged saying he wants to cancel cause he’s found a better price💀💀💀
They def pulled all the secrets and sold the rest
You mentioned the Magia in this video. I need to watch the rest of the Magia videos to understand
Can’t scale secret rares but you can map them.
THE PACKS WERE CT SCANNED!!??
no they just opened boxes until they found the secrets then sold the remaining packs
Will be great next to my old millelium shield ❤
ye that's crude...
Thats why i dont buy loose packs :(, hope u can talk to the seller and resolve this
Sucks when shady people sell scams. Hopefully you can get some money back.
