    Loved Trangia Upgrade. Its moved in the Air next to you. Easy. Three holes to drill. Then we get additional functionality. No need to sit on a wet grass anymore. Or to dig a snow away. It’s also much safer when not on the ground. Nobody will hit it by a boot or walk over it occasionally during night. You can cook now just standing same straight as you do at home. More space around and will feel much different.
    Sample tasty dish - Meat in fish sauce with salat and rice. Recipe for easy cooking. Try once to cook - it’s super tasty. Especially cooked Trangia AIR Style in the woods.
    Happy trails!
    Thank you for watching. If you like our ideas please do not hesitate to to leave a like.

      Yes, and once for a month I was cooking that way on an Air Trangia when living in a beach camp. So it tested and I think useful. But in this video I forgot to take butter with me. So I was frying on a Trangia non stick. But better result with some butter. That is Thai style cooking I got from my Thai friends.

    Haha! I tried to make something similar to hang my coffee rig from a similar setup, except I was using a large aluminum percolator and using the rig with springs to hold my Coleman Peak 1 550B to the bottom of the pot. It was working great for about 20 seconds until the springs got red hot and stretched to many times their length in a couple of seconds, dropping the stove and the pot fell off between the elongated springs, dumping the still cold percolator and its contents on the ground. Back to the drawing board .......
    You did MUCH better than I did. Well done, Sir. Well done!

      @@foxdogcattop The funniest part is that I was showing the contraption off to my platoon mates who were waiting on coffee.

      @@foxdogcattop I severely underestimated how much heat can travel up the side of a pot when cooking on high power. Haha!

    The idea is good for a lot of scenarios. Middle of the night I would forget it was there and tangle myself up.

      In this video it was one of the first times when I use it. Now I use it constantly hanging it up wherever possible to hang. I did a bit upgrade to a hanging system so it is always ready. I will show how it look in one of the next videos. Thanks for taking attention to my vids!

      Agree with you, not much spending but double the area of use for Trangia.

    I can't cook at ground level so I like the idea, but I think I'd opt to use that folding aluminum table

    Great video! Which burner are you using in your Trangia Stove? Is it an alcohol burner? Greetings from Scotland.

    • @foxdogcattop
      @foxdogcattop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! That is an gasoline burner. Trangia original. But that one I bought long time ago. 15-20 years ago. Now they have some kind of mod which also can be used with gas canisters. I reccomend to use with Trangia the gasoline for ease of cooking. Cheers!

    Why ?

    • @foxdogcattop
      @foxdogcattop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For me personally easier to use when the level of pots is higher. No need to crawl arround. Also when sometimes no suitable ground to put it on. Just additional option of use.

  • @buckshot4428

    A solution to a non existant problem. Just say someone bumps into the stove while it's lit. You're going to have burning alcohol all over the place. Additonally it's flapping in the wind.

    • @foxdogcattop

      Thanks for you comment! But sir, no one says there is some kind a problem. Just one more way of use. Personally I like in this setup that possible to cook standing like at a home stove no need to bend and crawl on knees arround when cooking something for a long time and same time doing something else in a camp. In general it also less chance to hit the stove when it hanged than when it is on the ground. Just my tiny opinion...
