Both awnings are good and same regarding ease of setup. Soft case is usually cheaper. But I prefer hard top because it is first of all more aerodynamic. For long distance driving it is important. Then comes that it is easy to keep the hard case clean. You just clean with cloth and soap in a spray bottle or it cleans easy itself on a car wash. Look as new after few years of use. Soft canvas cover will be more complicated to clean and dry. Not sure it will look at all like new after even one travel. Also as a life hack from my part when opened - bottom part of the awning hard box can be used for storage of small camping items. Like lighters, knifes small ropes, cell phones. flash lights and so on. Kind of a shelf which I like to use a lot when I am under an opened awning set up kitchen space.
@@EgilMollerNielsen I have roof top tent Maggiolina that’s why I had chose Maggiolina producr awning. All from one place. They had also set of metal fixing parts so I can connect in a solid way Maggiolina roof top tent to a Maggiolina awning. Just check before you buy how you will fix all that to your vehicle and it will not become a problem before vacation. So all materials solid no rattling, rust accumulation and so on. Regarding Thule I had never checked it so no good or bad comment can give regarding it.

@@foxdogcattop Thanks a lot, and which brand is best for hard awnings, is that auto home or have you looked at Thule?
