Just bought a board for my wife on her 50s birthday, been out just us once, and with some mates once. Just ordered my own board , but I am the only one in the group with problem standing up, everyone else just did it on there first try, but I am the tallest, oldest and fattest in the group to. will take your advice and start improving, got a whole summer to get better !

Awesome that you're getting into SUP! Making sure you are on the right equipment for your size is the best way to learn and improve. You may need a wider or bigger board in order to aid in stability. Keep at it though! Thanks, Beau

You are so right! As a pilates instructor, I use all my skills to get up and stay up and love passing my tips on to other SUPers! X

Great video. I use a Cool board during the winter in the UK when I can't get out on the board much - I have 10 minute board balance breaks from the computer whilst working at home!

This video really helped me. Here in MO we are going into cold weather so worried about loosing all the progress I've made this summer.

@@SUPboardermag I did enjoy it - there's an amazing resemblance to our Camps Bay here in Cape Town.

Been paddling in choppy conditions a lot lately, like at 6:30 in the vid, and my quadriceps get absolutely smoked from bending the knees and balancing! And to think I also like to thrust with my legs for additional power, just ain’t happening!
