Hi Charlie, it's really nice to see how your Range Rover is coming along little by little 😊
Sure wish I had some of your experience.
    Thanks for sharing 👍

Help! How do I disconnect the silver rod which goes from the door handle to the mechanism??? You said it was difficult but that doesn’t tell me much. Does it snap? Twist? I’m stuck.

There are 2 rods that push into a green piece of plastic( manual unlock rod, door handle release rod). The little green plastic pieces come out easily, fall off in the bottom of the door often and have to be reinserted before you can push the rod back in.

I just uploaded a short video using a spare hatch actuator that shows how they snap in. th-cam.com/users/shortsymCPguDat3M?feature=share

If you’re lucky the little green parts will stay in your actuator and only the rod will pop out.

@@charlieshowsyouhow5591 I was referring to the rod connecting the door handle to the lock mechanism. The white one. I finally figured out house to open it up by running a pick inside and lifting up. Then it opened and I could remove the connecting rod. But that was just one of a dozen problems i encountered. Lol. Finally got everything done and working! Then I backed the Disco directly into my Tesla, which was parked behind but invisible in the mirrors. Guess I’m hooked on backup cameras…

Wow! That stinks. I have noticed they have some blind spots when backing.

I appreciate the intent but it’s really hard to follow with the camera angle so close to

      @@charlieshowsyouhow5591 Thanks for understanding.
Parts are ridiculously expensive, same thing with Jaguar,i don't know how the British government define price policies,it makes everything very difficult and gives British products a bad rep overseas

These cars are more of a hobby than an actual car to reliably get you somewhere!🤷🏼‍♂️
