Hi there….great job on your inventory and the diversity. One suggestion….packaging is everything when doing craft shows…especially small items and stocking stuffers. I use ALOT of tulle to help embellish my products. I hand tie all my bows and add tulle and jingle bells so it looks more festive and gift ready plus it’s inexpensive and eye-catching. Good luck with your next event.

I think if you had put a sign on the tree with a price range for the ornaments people would have understood they were available for purchase. Sign should have your name, Ornaments for Sale, price range I believe. Beaded pens seem to be popular, but letter openers are typically only used by older folks. Limited market appeal.

Very nice video, appreciate the information. I have been trying to determine what is popular this year but it seems to be different based on location, size of market, etc. I am a marketing professional and can sell anything except what i make, lol.

I did watch another crafter where someone commented that people don't like the pricing on a list AND people are reluctant to ask the vendor the prices. They want to see the price of the item that caught their eye immediately. I did a craft show this past Sunday and I had a sign (very visible) next to each of my clear bins. Larger items should probably have a price right on them. Then, a coworker who was there, purchased an adorable gnome from a booth. She went back as she was considering purchasing something else but said, "I just didn't want to keep asking her how much things were." On a side note, your items are amazing! I think people are thinking more about stocking stuffers, teacher gifts, etc. as we get closer to Christmas. Best of luck at your next craft show.😊

It's sad that people want to buy Chinese crap at the dollar stores more than they want to buy a handcrafted beautiful item😢

Did the lady with all of the beaded pens sell a lot of them? I am going to a Craft Fair with my 10-year old granddaughter this Saturday. We try to always support the Crafters because we know how much work they put into things. However, I would say almost every vendor doesn't sell 5% of their items. They have 8 Craft Fairs a year, and I see it time and time again-- people just don't buy home-crafted items anymore. I see the vendors pack away almost, if not, all of the items they came with. It's sad actually. I buy a dish towel or 2 every time from any older lady who crochets (or knits?) a top on them with a strap you fasten the towel to your oven door with. I also buy a little hand-made gnome from a lady who makes them for all holidays/occasions. I enjoy them, and let the vendor know I appreciate what they do. I just wish more people felt like that. I hope you have much better luck selling your lovely items next time you do a Craft Fair 😊
I'm not sure how many pens she sold. She had a huge inventory, and she only sold beaded pens at her table. I did notice there were people selling products that were not handmade. For example, fingernail stickers and candles. My Mom and I are hopeful that we sell a lot of our items at the next craft show! Thank you for taking the time to comment. Hi Pebbles! You guys did great! Your products are cute and pretty. Craft Fairs are always tough. I did them way back before I was married. Luckily, I was the mad crafter and my mom was managed the business end of everything. The Christmas Tree, hmmmm...I like the idea. I would say, yes make sure the lights work, fluff your branches, try to decorate the tree to look like a tree in a house or in a store. Show everyone how pretty their tree would look with YOUR ornaments on it. Maybe take the ornaments out of the cello bags. Your mom seems very talented with the Cricut, maybe the tree topper could be a Clean & Simple sign that let's people know the ornaments are for sell. Also, if the tree is behind the tables, most people won't shop it. Not sure about the traffic flow at your Craft Fair, I do like the Item\inventory sheet you guys had up, but maybe add signs or decor to tell your consumer what is inside the clear bins and the price. Go to your local boutiques and check out their displays. The clear bins are nice, but if everything is laid out in straight lines next to each other they mesh into 1 thing and compete with each other. Try levels, putting things on a box and covering it with a table cloth to conceal it. Or think of clear risers. I like the idea of adding signs for the cards. If your boxed note cards sold well, maybe boxed Christmas cards, Birthday cards,, etc??? Okay, that is my 2 cents, and 2 cents doesn;t amount to much, so take what you what and toss the rest of my advice. Best of luck at the November show!!!! God bless you and yours, Tree 🙏😸💖
Great ideas about the Christmas tree! It definitely needed a sign, topper, and the plastic off the ornaments! You're definitely right. All those things would encourage people to buy the ornaments. My Mom is making tags with item names and prices to display in front of items. Great idea! And levels, I like that idea too! You have lots of great ideas! I'm going to share them with my Mom! The tree is too far from the table. Your husband is right. Looks like a decoration not part if your display.
Did you have a sign that says "BUY ME OFF THE TREE"? I bring a pencil tree and put my ornaments on it. I make sure the tree is right up front and the signs are scattered on the tree so everyone knows the items are for sale. I always do well with my handmade sewn ornaments.

Every craft show is different. Different areas sell items that won't sell anywhere else. Don't get discouraged. Eventually it all sells out.😊

I sold my cards in bundles. That way they got a deal. Like 12 for $10 and I displayed the cards. They liked that they got extra and they didn’t have to choose. Your ornaments seemed to big to be ornaments so don’t make them as that. You are doing great just make sure you make a lot of whatever soId really good at the first fair.
Great idea for cards. When you sold your cards in bundles, were all the cards the same? Did you have a variety of cards for your bundle? Some of the ornaments are too big! The tree is a great idea, I do it every year. I put a small 4 ft tree on the table with the ornaments I sell with extras in baskets under the tree.

@@koalitascreationsas someone who goes to Craft Fairs - as a customer- I actually think the tree on the table and a basket of additional ornaments underneath or next to the tree makes it more obvious that the ornaments are for sale. I hate to admit I might have walked by your tree not realizing its ornaments were for sale.

Your items are very nice and packaged very well, it was like you said that selling Christmas items in October may have been too early. My October show did not do very well either but I have one coming up next week on the 18th of November.
