it proves that SUV is never meant for fuel saving, for those care about fuel economy, go for sedan/hatchback
Yup: SUVs are heavier, and produce more drag
Obviously. Suv with bigger wheels & chunky frontial area is not for fuel saving.
Sedan/hatchback C segment & below is meant to be fuel saving platform.
That is why Attiva need to be light as possible with low cc. Attiva is just a lifestyle SUV not proper SUV.
People already forgot the aerodynamic factor is one of the biggest contribution of fuel consumption rate.
Actually Attiva is not fuel save when its reach 120km/h & above. The fuel consumption is just the same with sedan b segment 1.5l na engine.
@@apair4002but ativa still fuel saving than this sedan, referred to uncle's previos video fc test on ativa. He actually drive slightly faster than this time. Although he didnt use full tank to full tank manual calculation

Good approach using 2 languages. Felt like you really enjoy doing cars related contents because maybe it is just how our perception of the language as a non english native speaker. When you speak in English, it does sounds a little bit serious but mixing both felt like everything is very laid back, easy going and I did enjoyed the video.
Thats a damn good fuel consumption for this car. In the real world, even if it oscillates between 14km/l to 17km/l, its still considered good for the car.
Yes; it is down to the efi amd the dct; aerodynamics: tyres, weight and driver
Wait for town driving fuel consumption. Long distace with constant pedal any car can get good fuel cosumption.

Driving for than 30 years, personally never borthered about fuel comnsumption because of mostly heavy footer and more towards enjoying whatever the car can give. But 16 liters per 100km is not bad. Worth considering… Thanks YS for adding more racun to the S70.

Ok lulus uncle, jimat jugak petrol dengan berat body antara 1250-1305kg dengan full tank 50L + 2 orang dalam kereta.
S70 sangat sesuai untuk long distance,
Meter cluster S70 boleh display jadi maps like Audi meter cluster. this is ossem men dengan harga 89-94K tidak perlu lagi beli Audi.
Tapi sy sekarang sedang menuju ke EV
EV kalo banjir ,masuk air apa cerita ?? lebih teruk atau cam mana??
Betul ini flagship x yg mana ianya lebih berat dari s70 yg lain. Kalau premium spec mungkin lagi jimat. Tu pun kalau kaki tak berat.
I think this is the first time (correct me if im wrong) Uncle used the Full tank to Full tank calculation method in FC Test. It definitely is more accurate than what the screen shows. I think you should continue this way of doing FC test for other cars also (and perhaps previously tested cars). 😁

People/manufacturer already forgot that wheels size & aerodynamic are important for fuel saving.
All want chunky frontal area of SUV, big wheels size & manufacturer follow the demand & left engineering factor for fuel saving.

Partial city drive, partial highway drive.
if full highway the fuel will be more efficient.
If full city, jammed drive fuel will be more needed.

in the good ol days, my perception on good fuel consumption is whatever at/greater of 13km/L..today cars can do way better than that..amazing..
The interior looks great. Wow.. I wonder how much fun the car platform is for spirited driving. The genting video is awesome enough. Cant wait to see enthusiast get their hands on this car. From the looks of it the car suspension is not bad at all on the road.
the car is too robotic. enthusiast will have a hard time tinkering and loving it. it's for the aunties and uncles for safety on the road. there be less accident if majority of people buy this car and any car with similar system hahaha
@@r.sakarollsafe1285 enthusiasts will get the lowest spec and not bother with the ADAS. Part of the reason Proton doesn't include ADAS for all spec. They know their customer base

28:25: (until 28:40)The ADAS system noticed the left Roadworks & Lane Merging signboards (Traffic Sign Recognition), and displayed the warning icon on Speedo. At 30:00, when there were no longer any road barriers, the icon was turned off. Nice.
Anyway, that fuel consumption is quite the same as Civic FC. Very good indeed.

Hi uncle khong, long time viewer & need to let you know that the position of the subtitles currently is blocking a lot of the important part of the videos
Plus the songs are quite loud blocking your speaking voice!

Ya, tengok gearing 7 speed itu - 1900 rpm dah 100km/h. Seperti orang kaki panjang.
saga x jimat pun bro. persona yg cc lgi besar pun lebih kurang je minyak dia dngn saga.
Persona 1.6 tu pun +- minyak dengan x50 yg org cakap kuat minyak.
Not much difference between my Forester. With aggressive and jam situation, I managed to get between 8.0-8.2/100km or between 12 litre/km. Thanks uncle for the fuel consumption review. It is a nice car afterall. I would buy a sedan again. Driving an suv sometimes its boring.
Usually of r&r right after fueling at a constant speed 110kmh I will see 6.2l/100km with my awd xv..but 90% of the time i would not drive in this manner, stop and go,traffic etc and the system would show 7.8l/100..while the new proton seems very good but a more accurate numbers will be mixed daily driving..
As said, our test is an indication of what woild be the tupical consumption under yhe test conditiond as per the test video which you can scrutinise. FC will vary if the test conditions ate different.
Good one uncle, i think real situation traffic jam 40-60kmh should be around 11-13km.per liter which is better than my Ativa 😅

Have been testing the car for past few days and I’m happy to report can get 18km/L on highway at average speed of 110kmph. Putrajaya to Seremban. Town driving with heavy traffic around average 15km/L.

Amazing Uncle. S70 is indeed good deal. Uncle, would you do a fuel efficiency test with the Arteon 4 Motion? So far Uncle did all phases of test with that car except fuel efficiency. Not sure if you've already done and videoed it.

means this engine on x50 were getting okayish fuel bcs it heavy and has more to work on to get it move. since s70 just a sedan so easier to move and the power output of that engine is more than capable of that body weight

Saya lihat juga video YT Syed Proton Sedunia, kasi test s70 dari BP ke Larkin dgn comfort & sport mode dan dinaiki 4orang. Wow! follow jer tak nak potong civic fe, cruise kelajuan 181kmj hanya dengan 3.7k rpm nya, memandu dengan sebelah tangan sahaja. Agak2 kalau maksima 5.5k rpm nya, berapa kah top speed nya... fc 130km/-+11.+liter, memandu dengan berat kaki hingga 181kmj dapat -+11.0km/1liter...

Alza vs S70 because the price almost same… still have confused… which one more reliable like… part time do grab car, long distance travel, family… most important thing is which one (tahan lama)
The S70 and Alza are two very different vehicles built for different purposes. As a Grab driver you should take the Bezza or the Alza

Essentially, this is a test more for highway driving, not so much for city or mixed. Great for those doing lots of travelling. A 3-cylinder smaller capacity car is surely great though maybe the engine a bit rough to the ears. Also great to know a DCT GB can deliver good FC results. But wonder how much time was the turbo on?
That is the great thing about turbo. Good economy and good power. Always remember we do these tests to show our viewers what is the typical fc you can get: every test is slightly different as traffic conditions differ: if it was a clear highway we will get better cinsumption but then we will go at the speed limit.
There will never be a perfect test as then we will need a completely flat track without any corners , no wind, no traffic etc.
We show the exact road we travel, the exact traffic and road conditions so you can see everything.
Also, we are not an official testing body and what you see is what you get.
So you are correct - under heavier traffic conditions the fc may get worse; under better conditions or if the hills were not there, if the tolls were not there, if we did not have to stop at thr traffic light, it would be better.
That is why we call our test a real world test. Thanks for watching

Why don't you do it? On a more serious notr, not many people want to watch a 200 km test and if I edit out any part people will shoot doubting arrows. Just look at a comment about 3 or four above this - some idiot is doubting my refuel process.

If the road is too jammed it does not make any sense. People need to know what the car can do under normal conditions, because they know it will be worse in a jam.
Worth to note that the test was performed by an ex professional driver who knows all the tricks in the book and knows how to execute them - maximising vehicle momentum, minimising aerodynamic drag, traffic flow anticipation to minimise braking...it would almost be impossible for the average driver to achieve the result that uncle got here..I bet even the fuel consumption of an X70 will look very decent if it's uncle doing it..hehe
Having said that, if anyone wants to learn best driving practices, yes, it can be taught, it is not an art form - anyone can learn it.
