- I have never realised how over looked the Suzuki Swift Sport is.... This could possibly be the BEST all rounder in 2023? Its stylish, Sporty, unique, punchy, economical, reliable, affordable and value for money? Do you agree?

I've got a 2019 Swift Sport, the non hybrid version. It's a great little car and quick when you need it
I've always thought the Swift is what the mini should have been - it's way better looking, cheaper and just as practical.
It's way more practical than the Mini. I can't believe just how much I can squeeze into it at times!
Much better than any VW. Will be a lot more reliable and less hassle to own. A very under rated car
I would care to agree. 20 more bhp would be nice
@@AutoSocialUK Maybe if the car was heavier, but luckily is lighter, as proved by the relative small time in the 0-62mph
Ive got 2023 sport in Australia and loving it, great little car
Great review.
The swift sport has one of the better price/quality/sport ratio on the market. If I would have needed a second car, I will choose this one certainly.
Great review and you're looking fantastic! 😍
Great review! Hope you enjoyed Ireland.
A very fair review of this wee car and a very likeable video.😊
Great presentation and review Tish.
Lovely review and a great channel
I just watched your Citroen Ami review, then clicked on this one and could not believe my eyes. I knew you were in Ireland because we took photos at the very same spot. (Wicklow mountains right?). Then you said 'Ireland' - √. Keep up the great work. Greetings from Canada, your newest subscriber!
Great review in amazing location 👍
Nice review tish x
Suzuki has been caught telling porkies on the power again, the last one was 138hp but dyno tested at 152hp, this one is claimed 129 but dyno tested at 141hp.
I commented on the Suzuki Sport you tested a few years ago as a great little car as I had one at the time.
If they updated the touch screen you would have an even better package as it has loads of Tec as standard.
Nice jeans 😂...Good review too 👍...looks like a fun 2nd car to zip around town 😊
I'm sure this was a great review Tish, but during the intro I was fixated by the hole in your jeans 👖 😯
I notice not a lot of folk in the comments have one of these. Well I do. Forget Suzuki performance figures. They are well understated... this car is brilliant to drive. It is the only car I have ever had that after nearly 12 months of owning I still look forward to driving. I am currently averaging 46 mpg, mostly urban. It is so nippy and agile. Yes it has it faults design wise. The info system could be better, you need to get the best seating/steering adjustment (I spent some weeks until it suited me). But everything is quality, I am 70 and in my early days used to tune and own minis. I could go on. Biggest drawback is they stand out because in the time I have had this I've not seen another one and everyone knows where you've been...
The Suzuki Swift Sport is getting better with age. Awesome review Tish!
I guess it's down to what your requirements are Tish. Do you need those extra doors and space? Do you prefer the nimble UP GTI. It's not and answer that I can give. Both are great cars. I've been a fan of the Swift (the car not the camper or caravan not sure which) for a very long time but I've never owned one as it just didn't meet my requirements at the time. Times change and so do our requirements and the Swift is getting closer to meeting them now. Great quick review as always. Keep up the great work.
Great Review, I'm of the generation of no holes in Jeans haha had a hole in the knee of a pair and went out in them thinking I was well trendy and with the times haha 😉🤣
Thank goodness that I don’t go around ‘feeling’ the plastics in my Swift Sport. This has never and will never be an issue for me. And…here in New Zealand we don’t get this with a hybrid….
For now. The next Swift Sport, likely due late 2024 or early 2025 is almost certainly going to be a hybrid globally.
On the upside it might make the value of my 2021 non hybrid facelift go up.
Superb Road test
Good balanced review👍✌️😊💜
I think it's still a hot hatch, as opposed to hyper hatches, but I get your point 👍✌️😊
I still prefer the previous 1.6 model, but these are a good motor, albeit a fair bit pricier than the previous model. Both generation's front seats are overkill, the SZ4 seats are more than adequate and more comfortable (I'm slim build).
Would you swap your UP GTi for one🤔🤔✌️💜
Ireland !!!!! Looks like North Yorks, kinda Butterstone pass area, also stunning scenery. You get about !!! Not a terrible job at all !
Thank you very much, I appreciate your review. We have just purchased this car 2023 in yellow it is for my wife $33,500 (AUD) and looking forward to collecting it this coming weekend.
I am keen to feel how this car drives using the paddle shifters and with its sporty turbo it should be fun.
Personally I own the exact opposite a 1969 Pontiac GrandPrix 455 stroker it runs at about 12litres per 100km 👀 But Man O Man it’s a real luxury Muscle car for sure! (Yes, I am a crazy mad old school petrol head car lover).
Take CARe. Cheers from Western Australia 🇦🇺🤘🏻😎
I have an AWD version non hybrid import from Japan and it's excellent it's stuffed with tech fantastic on fuel and comfortable love it
Thanks for sharing!
This review was a BREEZE. A ginger in Ireland 🇮🇪..you're home!❤😅
Such a great little? Car.
On my list of cars to have.
Sure you can always buy one of these now or in a few years Tish to add to your fleet when you need something more practical than the Lupo or Up.
When you said bring back buttons I didn’t realise that is what you had in mind. As to whether it is better than the Up I guess it is down to do you need the extra dpace.
Fantastic car!
Just one other crucial thing not really mentioned with regards mainly to the interior....Suzuki are clearly aiming to keep this car lightweight and hence that would result in compromises.....and yes you need to sell your UP now and get one of these. Great review though. ;-))
Nice review, but could have done with some more driving. I have the non hybrid sport, just 5 years old and 18k miles. 100% reliable and I regularly get 50+ mpg. Performance is excellent and regularly puts the wind up other more expensive cars. My biggest criticism is how thin the paint is, it scratches and marks very easily, having said that it is very lustrous and my mineral grey seems to sparkle in the Sunlight. I'm in my late 60s and ruled out a Fiesta ST on the grounds of comfort and practicality( also a couple I know were troublesome) . For reliability you have a job to beat Suzuki. 4.8 out of 5👍😊.
Right off the bat: the dimensions. Definitely a small hatch, but with the width, curves and body lines, it brings a lil something extra to the table. Now what's interesting is Suzuki has always been one of the weaker Japanese brands (of course that is debatable), but thankfully the Swift dominates the hatchback segment especially here in the Caribbean. Now why I say weaker, is because of the fierce competition within its class, and surprisingly it's not against the GTi, but it's against other Japanese hatchbacks. You got the Nissan Note or Note e-Power, the Mazda Demio, the Mitsubishi Mirage, the popular Honda Fitt, and a buffet's worth of choices from Toyota: the Ayga, Aurus, Vitz, Passo, Aqua, and the true rival to the Swift which is the GR Yaris. So yeah, lots of hatches to choose from, and the Swift definitely among them.
The Suzuki would have been the better buy long term but I am sure the Up goes well and suits your needs for now.
Get yourself a new pair of jeans Tish those look battered, good video though ! 😊
That's mad. I literally said to myself watching this. That looks like Ireland. Bet you were in Wicklow. Looks like the Wicklow mountains.
A super car - especially in yellow! Only thing I don't like is the cosmetic design of the wheels.
I had a abarth 595 and my other half had one of these, and the suzuki was far and away better tech, smoother and more roomy.... Its a great car, but the seats don't give enough support... Also a panoramic roof would be awesome...
The most important thing about a car is reliability we own a Suzuki Beleno GLX which when we bought it new in 2021 for aud $25000 and in Australia there are plenty of Swifts around and any to be asociated with Toyota one of the best motor manufacturers in the world the Suzuki Beleno in some countries in the world they are rebadged as Toyota Starlet also Suzuki Beleno are no longer sold in Australia hence they hold there value l have seen a Suzuki Beleno GL sell for aud$2200 second hand when brand new they were under aud $20000 talk about apreciation so dose the Suzuki Jimny and out Baleno gets over 50mpg on the highway and its not even a mild hibrid
Right. Dogs and people in the back are not a factor.
Other than that: Get one. Replace the ugly red interior elements with silver ones from the configurator, and put the pedal down. You‘ll see how much fun this is.
Similar cars are also i20 N Line+ and Yaris GR Sport, both of which are just more modern vehicles, and i20 gonna be significantly better practically wise.
You forgot to mention the Abarth 595 / 695 manual and a proper handbrake available
But that aside yes a good all rounder I say the swift but sad to say it I'd say only the badge would make people choose the up gti over it which is a pity as I'd say most likely a better car than the up
You on a European tour Tish?
New Swift launch expected end of this month.
Good cars the Swift sport. Superior woman reviewing them too.
If and when Suzuki go electric, this must be top of their E-List. It's a brilliant little car, but not a hybrid.. mild hybrid really only offers a small boost from a tiny battery.
Hybrids are much better for the environment as they emit less carbon when you add the pre-production carbon cost on to the running costs of the vehicle over a ten year life span. In fact the hybrid battery will be cheaper to replace than a full ev battery
@@jamesgowing3856 maybe Suzuki can focus on some Half decent full hybrid systems over the current mild hybrid effort.
Considering EV’s will easily outlast their ICE counterparts, I’m not convinced by your claim. But each to their own.
@@AhhGeeProductions you don't have to believe me. Do some proper research into EVs and then make a decision. Commonsense should tell you that the depreciation on a ten year old EV is going to be terrible as who would want to spend a huge amount of money on a new battery. This will cause more waste as less cars will be retained. Not only that currently battery technology is prone to fires. In fact firemen are instructed not to combat the fire but wait for it to burn out with an EV. Can you imagine one of these vehicles parked in a block of flats?
@@jamesgowing3856 I wouldn’t park my car in a block of flats. Access is awful.
Thank you for your advice mystery internet person, I’m glad to have found an expert on the subject.
Let’s hope they don’t go electric 🙏🏻
Good review. Your jeans have a rather large hole in the right leg.
You're voice is antagonizing
You're a virgin . . .
That’s weird, they’ve dropped the power and made the 0-60 slower than the 10 year older model…
How tall are you, Tish?
1m76cm
11:38 There both small cars which makes no sense getting. A CR-V or Sportage would be a better buy. Missed you the past weeks, glad to see you back Tish.😄😃😀.
No way Tish. You should have came down for a Cuppa.
The non European version is better than the hybrid. It's lighter and much quicker. Fantastic cars. Fun, fun, fun!!! 😀
Yep. We do know how to ruin everyone’s fun in the uk!
Looks windy
Should have bought Hyundai 120n
Much quicker than the Up Gti. The 1.0 szt is just as quick as the UP.
I dont like the car i like that girl❤❤
Aren’t they face lifting the Suzuki Swift in 2024?
Listening to your voice everyday would make me sad 😢
Racist
You're already a sad person . . .
@@BobFlocker explain how that is racist ?!
Not sure why Swift is more accepted in Europe and UK than Suzuki Baleno!!? I find Baleno a stellar car in hatchback segment...
I had a 2022 Baleno 1.4 non turbo, I traded it for a SSS as found it to be underpowered and very unstable, it wanted to wander all over the road, the sport swift is totally a different beast. Maybe the difference between Japanese and Indian manufacturing
@@TOFAST4YOUFOOL1 May be Baleno when launched was wobbly!! The 2023 version that I have is a gem.. Much heavier, great engine refinement, zero cabin noise... Baleno has gone for a heavy transformation. Most Suzuki cars are made in India. Not sure how many these days are made in Japan!! That will not be cost effective..
They're both on the same platform since around 2017.
@@JaneDoe-ft7ln Baleno 2023 is a different beast.. Europe don't have that currently...
@@shivathealmighty No, they get higher spec swifts than those shit boxes they sell in India instead. Either way they're all based on the same platform.
Dogs in the boot? Call the RSPCA.
I love you💓💓💓💋💋💋
お姉さんジーパン破けてますよ・・・・joke
No
They killed the swift sport in both looks and power 😢 sorry...suzuki this aint it. It take a i20n over this.....
there is a regular Swift turbo and a Swift sport turbo but here in Australia SS turbo is very rare
Lovely belly button
the hybrid is shit. 50kg extra and 11hp less. And it has a smaller turbo with waaay less tuning potential
I just don’t get the point of paying money for ripped jeans. Not to mention they look stupid
Thank you for the fashion advice.
